Hi everyone, been reading threads on this forum for a little over a year now, took delivery of my Subaru BRZ S in August 2013. Currently has just under 5,000km on the clock (approx. 3100 miles). Lucky enough to get mine decked out with numerous STi parts when purchasing. Here's a picture:

Just got my Series 10!
Picked up my Scion Series 10 a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier. I've seen only a handful of them in Memphis.
I'm new to owning a sportscar but so far loving the stick shift and cornering. So far I have had people ask me if it's a Tesla or a Porsche - lol. ![]() I'm ready to accessorize, but don't want to void my warranty. Will Toyota/Scion install a rear deck spoiler? That's really the first thing I want... can't believe it's not stock. Pros so far: - Great cornering with downshift / speed - Fun to drive - Touch-screen and hands-free bluetooth is nice w/my iPhone - Very Knight-Riderish. Walk up, it glows and unlocks. Cons so far: - Seats attract every piece of lint on the planet. What's the best seat cover package available? - No rear deck spoiler by default - what!? - Audio is so-so, at least for the radio. Volume diffs between CD / BT and radio - Paint appears water-spotted, after I can't get it off by washing. I am having the dealer try to buff them out now. - No blue LED floor lights? That's a cool feature they could have added with little to no work and put on par with the Mini-Cooper - Headlights are slightly cloudy upon close look and shouldn't be. |

I have this issue also, and I think the 10 color is similar to the Argento that I have. Water spots were everywhere. Not totally visible in all lights/angles, but definitely there. I've talked to a friend who owns a detailing biz, and perused a few detailing forums. On mine, I'm using a fairly gentle polish/water spot remover rubbed on by hand, then spray wax to shine it and see if there are still spots there. So far it's 99% better than it was, but still some are there. Trying to be as gentle as possible so as not to get into the clear too much. FYI - I also no longer wash w/ water but using a no-rinse cleaner mixed w/ distilled water and sprayed on/wiped off.

Hey Folks...appreciate the site and the useful info. Leasing an Asphalt FR-S. Crashed it just one week after I got it. Ride sportbikes and just started getting into cars. I have a habit of finding the limit. which sometimes costs money and the occasional broken bone. From Orange County, CA and looking to get into autocross and track days. The latter may be outta my pay range, but I'll still do it when the money's right. Thanks again for putting up this site!

Mine had spots from the dealer as far as I know. The detailing guy I talked to said he's sure they usually use good water, so it could've been that their system needed cleaning out, or maybe sprinkler water that sat on it. Our local water is pretty hard.

![]() How do you get money to "come" in December ...... my money usually "goes" in December .... ![]() Anyway, good decision (going with the FR-S). If it snows this year in Seattle, and your car comes with summer performance tires ..... either drive real careful or get some good all-season tires (at least). Jump on over to the Northwest sub-forum and say "Hi" to the locals .... ![]() humfrz |
