Just finished all the paperworks for mine yesterday, Galaxy Blue '13 BRZ. I've already put 400 miles on it, planning on another big chunk this weekend joy riding out of Austin. Such a fun car!

Newly joined here, but have perused this site for research prior to getting mine. Had it for ~6mos now and 99% love the car. It does have a few little issues (crickets, trunk rattle, bad water spots all over glass and paint from when it was new).
It's so much fun to drive and still getting 31mpg. Looking forward to a few minor tweaks but want to keep it within warrant too. |

.....cycleboy!I understand there is a "new" HPFP that may replace your "crickets", meanwhile top tier gas may help. Word has it that some lubricant on the right spot in the trunk may quiet down the noise. Have you tried a clay bar to take away the water spots? humfrz |

Last evening I poked around inside the trunk and noticed that the wire for the 3rd brake light could wiggle around and make some noise. Not sure if that's what I was hearing, or the spot weld issue. I zip tied the wire to the frame, so I will find out on this morning's commute if that was it or if I try the lube route.
I heard about a new HPFP on the way and that sounds great. I am not bothered by the crickets most of the time (stereo on, engine revving), but they are noticeable at low RPM w/ no music on. For the water spots, I had to resort to what I consider fairly extreme measures. Clay bar helped a little on the paint, but not enough. For the glass, I had to go to 0000 steel wool and a mild vinegar solution. That took care of it, but I missed a few spots I need to go back and hit. For the paint, I wound up getting Meguiar's Water Spot Remover. It's basically a mild rubbing compound or polish. Cleaned the paint really well, hit it with the remover on a damp sponge, rubbed in lightly at first, then a little harder as I got the feel for it. Followed that with thorough rinse and then some quick detailer and the spots are invisible to anyone but me (unless I point them out). Have done the horizontal surfaces, still need to hit the vertical ones. |

Hi all, I'm from Quebec (Canada) and just got my 2013 Scion FR-S 2 days ago. It was a demo so it already as 8000km (5000 miles), but I saved some big bucks at the dealer! My car has the TRD Muffler and Air Filter.

Hey everyone,
I've been lurking this forum for years before I decided to sign up! Now that I'm home from work due to a neck injury, I've decided to make my first post. I've been following the development of this car ever since it's announcement and picked up a firestorm MT on December 23, 2013 as a christmas present to myself. Being brought up by my uncle who was a car nut in his younger years, I've been into cars as long as I can remember. My ownership history includes a 92 civic hatchback, 2004 WRX and 2005 civic SI - but the FRS is by far the most enjoyable! I'm looking forward to what our scene has in store in the future! And because pics or it didn't happen - here's my 4 wheels....along with my 2 wheels

Just got my 10 series!
Living in Saskatchewan in the North, just had my FR-S delivered from Gateway Toyota in Edmonton, AB a week a go.
Absolutely loving this car. Hopefully I will have a build thread going over the winter! Jerf! |
