Yeah, I realize the Alameda start is inconvenient for almost everyone aside from @BigFatFlip and @thecarfilmer.

It's a pretty fun route though. For those who want to do the later legs (Palomares, maybe Mines), we stop in Castro Valley behind the Peet's at 20439 Redwood Rd. Leaving Alameda at 8 usually gets us there by 8:45 or so.

I might go watch the Outlaws in Stockton on Friday night though....so not sure if I'm gonna want to wake up and especially drive ALLLL the way to Alameda.

Guess I really need tires now..sigh Friday morning

121 ended up being closed so I wound up going west via 128. Beautiful drive, really nice scenery, every thing was nice and green thanks to all the rain we've been having, kinda reminded me of the Columbia river gorge in OR. The road surface was also very nice, smooth and well maintained. Not too technical, lots of flowing curves, little streams crossing the road made for some splashy fun, the SC really makes the up hill sections delightful. I think I want to go back soon on another week day.

Possibly with continuing service to Mines Rd down and back. Maybe even with a sushi lunch at Wasabi Bistro afterwards: http://www.yelp.com/biz/wasabi-bistro-livermore
Even after lake berryesa, I could go for some local roads. I'll see if I can free up my morning.

I would have to wake up at 530am for this, but I'm going to try and make it.

Thanks Plato, I appreciate that

I've been laying low this winter and not driving the car in the rain

Looking forward to driving this special car that we all have with the group
