Their Rdson is one of the lowest at less than 55v of operation.

Can someone give more details about the controller etc? There should be a separate board handling the charging I'm pretty sure.

Pretty interested in the 30024v version. Damn you guys for bringing these near the tax refund season!!!
The 3077 MOSFET is to small.

If you click the video he mentions 11psi.

Rob I think you're need to start patenting some of these things man.

A laypersons thoughts on this. No affiliation to Phantom superchargers at all.

1. I doubt this is the first attempt to patent the idea in the U.S. as the concept had been around as long as the internal combustion engine itself. Of course patents are meaningless without the means ($$$) to protect them and the jurisdiction to validate them. This is a U.S. patent, see point 3.

2. Rob sells a kit of parts that the buyer can install as a system, not the fully assembled system itself. Much in the same way there are kits sold that can be used to produce other patented ideas (e.g. kit cars, gun parts, etc.)

3. Rob's in Canada.

Patent law is a funny thing. Given that the fee has gone unpaid, he may be able to file patent here.

Agreed.

Its funny thou in that patent it lists the voltage of the system significantly higher. This is ok for a car application but the main problem becomes the charging of the dump pack. If it is higher voltage then it gets more complicated and expensive. I agree with everyone else in that Rob did an excellent job keeping the cost down.

Rob,

In your research phase did you check the compressor performance maps? It seems some of the GT28 inlets hit high efficiency between 55k-65k. You're probably combining larger vanes into smaller housings which seems like the way to go.

If only cars were using a 36V system like the germans envisioned a while ago.
