They really should have released this car with the CB bumper. It wouldn't cost much and I bet it would have generated a lot of interest.

Wonder if the wheels and aero kit will be available separately?
Or if someone will make a replica of the rear spoiler, like FT86 Speedfactory.

For as sloped as our windshield is, I'm surprised it catches chips as much as it does. I've never had a cracked windshield in any of my cars - and they include among other things: a Jeep DJ, and 200k+ miles each in an '85 Toyota Van and an '87 Celica. I replaced my FR-S windshield for the first time a couple months ago after it got a major crack, and I already have a new chip.

Some of that has to do with road quality. I do my best not to run close to or alongside trucks and whatnot, but when you're stuck in rush hour traffic there's only so much you can do. I don't drive any differently than I always have, so something's different. When I looked at my windshield compared to others at the glass shop, it's clearly thinner; I'm sure that's just a small part of the overall weight savings.

.

Same here! I'm surprised how easily gravel and other cr@p hits it! My older cars never got it. I wonder if its our hood that gets the smack first, then it bounces off into our windshield?

Someone quick, let me borrow your car to test this out by tossing stuff. hahahah

Repeat:
The glass is all covered by US safety requirements and must meet that standard. It can not be thinner, weaker, or easier to break than the standard permits. I guess it all comes down to "luck" as I have had way better service from the FRS glass than I did my last 3 cars even though I know I have taken more hits due to the low height of the car.

Since my route to/from work has been under pretty much continuous construction since I got my FRS, I am no stranger to debris.

I've had multiple windshield hits that I was sure were going to crack it but it has held. I did get one repairable chip about a month ago.

I have a very big gouge/dent on my hood from a piece of road that I initially thought had just hit the windshield. Scared the crap out of me when it hit and after the fact figured out that it didn't break because the hood had taken the brunt of the hit.

Nothing worse then seeing something headed straight for you and there is nowhere to go.

Oh just what we needed. Complete with pop up adverts and all. Although I will say that this one is at least legible.

Gotta love this:

"The tweaked FR-S emphasizes luxury as well as sportiness, Scion says, which is something of a boast for a brand known for selling very basic cars to young drivers. To spruce up the FR-S a bit, Scion added heated seats with camel leather and black Alcantara trim. The steering wheel, shift knob, and parking brake lever are trimmed in black leather, and there’s more camel-colored trim and accent stitching throughout the cabin."

Watch out Rolls Royce Scion is hot on your tail!
