Dammit. Now I want to illegally own a pet Bald Eagle just so I can dress him like that and teach him to sit on my shoulder!
Of course, Eagles and Hawks don't get along very well....

the system probably originated in england....
It makes sense from an early industrial period when the standards were probably developed (google tells me the whitworth standards was in 1841) With poor and relatively innacurate measuring devices it is probably a lot more reliable to divide in 2, and all the measurements are basically in powers of 2. It might be a lot easier if they didn't simplify the fractions and keep everything at x/16th of an inch. Also, the meter hadn't been adopted yet in 1841. |

I think its a car produced for more of the asia/japan domestic market but I there is a big market for it here in the states as well. The current trend has lot of consumers buying smaller / eco / fuel efficient urban cars and i think this hits a slam run in that category with an emphasis on fun. I think Toyota's success in the niche market with the FRS/BRZ has them targeting another niche market as well. It just so happens this niche market is very much like the last niche market. Just some thoughts. |
