Had a great time chatting with the president of Tomei USA. We're definitely excited to see the development and production of these headers.

I just talked to Tomei earlier today and they are out until the end of this month. Don't forget that I get good pricing on them as well

I'll try to get a decent sound quality of my set up soon, as soon as my friend lets me use his camera to film a drive by.

So I went autocrossing yesterday, and the officials pulled out the decibel meter on me. They couldn't give me a good number on my second run, but they said I needed to quiet it down. I put the baffle in and made another run, but I still passed the limit. They didn't stop me from running because we were in the parking lot of a drag strip, and I was one (the worst) of four violations, but they did tell me to get it fixed before the next event.

Beware, a full Tomei exhaust with EL headers is too loud for SCCA Solo events.

What front pipe are you running? Catless, non-resonated?

Here is the dyno charts for you guys to make some comparisons, my setup is as follows:
-Tomei UEL header
-Greddy CS Ver2 CBE
-Apexi Drop In Air Intake
-Crawford BPB
-Stock everything else

<Note>: I reside in south east Asia where the weather is perennially hot & humid so the absolute numbers will no way match up to the numbers seen in America or Canada dynos.

Run (1) & Run (2) are done on different days, but on the same dyno.
Run (1) was a cool rainy day, Run (2) was a hot & humid day.

(1) Stock Map with CBE, BPB & Drop In Air Intake

(2) Before and after Tune – UEL, CBE, BPB & Drop In Air Intake

My apologies, i have no stock car map run as i did my dyno run only after i installed all the mods (less header)

In a nutshell, the Tomei UEL performs as what Tomei USA states on their website. No surprises.

Torque dip is almost flat, high-end gains are minimal without a tune. You need to compare graph 1 to graph 2 to see that.

After the tune, the header’s performance gets way better, gains before and after tune is pretty decent. But that is probably down to tuning rather than anything else.

As for the UEL noise, I have heard a JDL setup and compared to this, Tomei is, IMHO, more UEL. The boxer note really shines thru and leaves no one in doubt of the boxer-ness of the exhaust note. But….

The noise is LOUD, make no mistake, it’s not a subtle gentleman’s racer kinda loud, it’s a bellowing thrumming constant blaring loud. But of course, your tastes and mine may differ. You might like it.

If i got the time, i will get a video of the exterior and interior sound. Meanwhile, hope this will do.

It's the Tomei Expreme Ti front pipe, and it's just an almost-straight tube. The catback has two, small resonators.

Nice. The tune sure did bump up the torque nicely. This shows that its quite pointless to get a full header back system if you're not going to maximise the gains through a good tune.
