i ordered 23rd june and i have tracking numbers and was given sept build, oct delivery however my tracking details still dont work... loltried everything suggested on the forums to get it working but no luck. think its to do with orders being sent to japan around the 20th-25th of every month and once that is processed in japan then the details work? no idea. kinda given up on trying to track it and just wait it out..

I ordered my car, same spec as yours and from the same dealer on the 6th June. My order is now got pushed from Sep build to Oct build. So don't think you are going to get your car before November.

Try a different web browser. I had troubles with Firefox on OSX. Safari no worries.

I'm pretty certain the stock controller at my dealer hasn't activated my codes. He also appears to be challenged by using a phone, as he hasn't returned any of my calls.

You're better off going in there when you're free, and speaking to them directly.

Refer page 6 'Toyota Bulletin' regarding delivery - Toyota expect the waiting period for a GT to be 2/3 months but 18 months and beyound for a GTS

Strange how only 8 days before build was 3 months and delivery 4 months! Maybe some of us will have orders move forward a month if we are lucky!! (I refer to when my order was placed and the months quoted)

The best comes to those who wait!! BRB - need another valium milkshake!!

i got the good old "one month push out" call as well.

i clarified to the sales guy and re asserted "so my deposit receipt/order form says october delivery 2012, one month means november right, in november?" he could not say yes to that. then he managed a "well all things going well and hopefully they will then, we hope so". No yes and good chance, just no real defined answer.

in the end to a degree they are the mushrooms so i can only hold them accountable to a degree. unlike many here, i am not fussed and wont ditch them to get one earlier. its all part of the drama of a long awaited brand new cult car. i may sound sadistic but thats how i see it.

to some degree i think some dealers are hoping people will back out and am sure alot will. not me, i am in for the long haul, but hopefully not too long.

just remember, in perth, no one can here you scream...for your 86 thats 1 month late.

Finally got my tracking details today.

The story goes like this. My salesman talked to his rep(?) for QLD (last Thursday), who he says supplies the details to him once the car/order has reached A20. At around the same time I called Toyota Aust. to see why this dealer hasn't got the ability to hand them out at order. The nice Toyota lady said the stock controller has to enable it in the system. Yesterday I called my salesman to tell him what I have recently learnt and to follow up with the conversation he had with his rep. He said that he couldn't get the tracking details and had no idea why the others have the ability. I then explained what I was told from Toyota.

He obviously followed up with his stock controller as I now have my details, and I'm sure others do as well.

In all fairness most other Toyota cars don't have the same wait time. So I imagine they would have never had the need for the web tracking. I would hope that is why they have no idea.

Hey guys, Please tell me that the online tracking isn't accurate. I spoke to my dealer today and he said it will be built in Japan on 27th August (arrive mid Sept) then it just updated on online tracking to show estimated delivery date of 29/09 (I'm going overseas on 28/9) so hoping that people have got there 86's before the estimated delivery date shown on the tracking and if so by how much?
