How so? I don't want to pay $1300 for HID's, and I certainly don't want the navi system either.

The answer to your question is somewhere around pages 9-12 of this thread.

The quick answer is after the initial hype dies down, the BRZ is going to sell under sticker and the Scion will still be at the same price. Even if it is only $700 under sticker then you are still cutting significantly into that price difference. And don't tell me about pure price, I know how it works, but the fact is that most scion dealers set their pure price at MSRP and I don't see that changing for this car.

People say they don't want HIDs and NAV, but the question is will they really turn them down when they can get them for $600 (or less)? People pay far more for less useful options they don't want just because the car on the lot has them. I think people will definitely be inclined to drive across town to check out the subaru and its nicer standard features and upgraded seat material.

Just read the Autoblog article on the price & at least 40% of people think is overprice for 200HP.

31K OTD isn't bad for a 6MT Limited; it's 1k more then I would have paid; although, I would like it to be invoice + TTL.

A TSX with ~200hp is 31k+ttl... HP doesn't really correlate to price IMO.

Base the car on it's merits, not one number.

Exactly, or the sum of its parts. There is more to a car than just hp numbers. That is what this car was made to show.

I'm still in.....but if my dealer is still thinking of a mark up then I'm going FR-S. Scion says they can easily install a "push to start" feature as an optional accessory. That's all I wanted from the BRZ afterall

You think it's more time-efficient to do that then change the oil yourself at a time/day that you choose?

Good luck selling the limited models. As you approach 30K the value of the BRZ really starts to drop compared to what else you can buy. .
