I haven't noticed the issue with the subframe and I'm on stock mounts launch the car hard for autocross. My concern when I put the header onto the car is that there is only maybe 2 or 3 mm between the tubes and the radiator support. I was worried about melting my fans, but it hasn't proved to be an issue so far.
Mine has not been a problem even with a thicker JRDC radiator. Hot track days, DD and autocross

If you can return I would. If there desgin is still the same it's pretty damn old. Much better UEL designs than borla

I ordered STi motor and transmission mounts from RHDJapan on July 12th and they showed up today. So that makes it 9 days total shipped via DHL from Japan. RHDJapan had the best price, too.

My JDL 4-2-1 Headers showed up today. I have the gaskets and everything needed. Gameplan is to do the following (unfortunately I think I have to wait until next year to get back to back dyno'd):

1. On the same day, when temps have stabilized, run 2x back to back vdyno's in multiple directions w/ Tomei UEL Header + Delicious Tomei UEL Tune and save the data log
2. Using AIM solo/Vbox Sport run some acceleration runs w/ Tomei UEL Header
3. Swap to JDL 4-2-1 EL Header and load Delicious 4-2-1 EL Tune
4. Run 2x back to back vdyno's in multiple directions w/ JDL 4-2-1 EL Header and save data log
5. Using AIM solo/Vbox Sport run some acceleration runs w/ JDL 4-2-1 EL Header

So hopefully this will get us an indication of potential power gains/losses, an insight into the data as far as datalogs go, and some real world acceleration to back up any numbers. The tests will be done on the same day, within a few hours of each other on the same tank of gas. Also for those judging the consistency of vdyno's, I just want to say when they are done right they can be ultra consistent and accurate. Like most things, the output is only as good as your input and most people do it wrong imho. Here's an example of two runs, in the opposite direction. Clearly, they can be repeatable when done right.

@justinco did a direct comparison with the Revworks UEL and the ACE 350 a while back: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125559

I'm interested to see the real world acceleration difference between the Tomei UEL and the JDL 4-2-1.

You fitted them already?

It a very good upgrade.

After fitting the trans mount ( the other two were fitted earlier on ) I noticed a slight vibration in the steering wheel at stock idle.

But overall very satisfied, the car is a daily anyways .

Not yet, hopefully within the next 2 weeks I should be able to get them on.

I already have the Whiteline KDT926 transmission mount insert installed and I did not notice much increase in NVH. The STi unit will be replacing the stock mount and the Whiteline insert. My car is a daily as well, I am hoping the vibration from the STi transmission mount is not too bad.

Did you notice any increase in NVH from just the STi engine mounts?

Out with the old, in with the new.

Initial thoughts before we've completed the tune:

The car runs and drives much smoother with the EL headers. Idle quality is up and NVH is down across the board. At speed, it basically sounds like a combination of a generic Honda + rotary (in a weird way). I'll admit, it's lost some of the sound character of the UEL headers. My setup also has a tiny bit of rasp around 4,250 rpm. We're still tuning it so I haven't been able to take any vdynos but I suspect it picked up some power and area under the curve.
