Running to get my Rad Tech Degree. Surprisingly.. I read the scans better than most students and I'm still confused on how I'll get my BS. Hopefully I get a Diagnostic Radiologist degree than a Rad Tech. I'm in OC too. I was apprenticing for a Neuro diagnostic radiologist at Hoag Irvine & Newport for a bit until he returned to his home country.

I've been thinking about doing the rad tech school offered by the navy. you get your national cert out of it.

Just get stationed on a sub or carrier and they'll radiate you for free!

How does it work with the Navy, if you're already in a position like you are as a hospital corpsman? Do they let you pursue other opportunities or do you have to finish out a "tour of duty"?

if you wanted to change rates you can as long as the other rate is open. you can do that after 18 months. right now i'm a Field corpsman (think combat medic) for the marine corps. so my job is to put bandaids on marines and give them shots. as a corpsman you can pretty much go to school to assume any posistion in the hospital.
