Would this be a good track solution ? (With proper static oversteer/understeer setup to balance the wing)
Or is it just a marketing car ?
That would help me a lot clearing speed bumps if it works.
Be careful mounting things to the trunk lid with that much leverage hanging behind the car. I've seen the Takata FR-s up close and the trunk edge was dimpled from the angled downforce generated by the wing.

That's Ken's personal car. There's far more done to it than what you just see on the surface.

And yeah, in the top hat. I put my car up on stands and turned the wheel to replicate the clunking sound and I tracked it down to the top hats. I figured you would be the best person to ask. I plan on replacing them, but probably not before I hit the track.
What top hats do you have?

I just have the ones that came with the coilovers. It's a pillow ball mount. If it's not that, then I have no clue what's clunking could be from. But I definitely tracked the sound down to the top hats

Check for play. They may already be worn out.

Will do.would you recommend a reasonably priced top hat that might fit these coilovers? I haven't seen these listed as Being compatible with any of the top hats I've looked at, so I'm not sure what fits.

That's the plan for my car too
But as Ken is probably sponsored a lot, some part might get on the car just for show.

If it's an actual track car (not just a PR tool) the TRD front and side aero might work ?
Even if extensively modified, I don't think he got a front diffuser ?

Well we had another trackday yesterday. The Project Mu HC800s lasted way better than the NS400s. Excellent brake feel throughout the session and they didn't feel like two smooth steel pads after they cooled. It's nice to be able to stop without having to do legpresses.

I did a instruction session and learnt alot on braking points. Probably dropped 3 seconds a lap from that. I did that session at his request with all the nannies on. Holy Traction control. That thing is on most of the lap. It's horrible. Also tried the pedal dance and found that what I previously thought was the ABS was actually just the EBD pulsing like a mofo. Braking distances probably 1/3 shorter now that i've got the better tyres and know how far I can push them. The 255 NT01's also allowed the turbo to put the traction down which was excellent. Now I've just gotta practice for a while and it should be a weapon of a car.

If you haven't done the pedal dance if nothing else do a single lap and figure out just how hard you can brake and how much the nannies pulse with them still on.

I'm also a brake/pedal dance convert after playing around on a skidpad this weekend, the light went off "oh THAT'S trail braking!"

Also learned that just because you CAN brake harder doesn't mean you should.

Big thanks to csg for publishing their stuff

I called buddy club and they gave me the torque specs for the camber plate bolts and the center bolt, so I will check those before jumping to any conclusions.

also, they told me that changing the ride height would not affect dampening. They said that it doesnt affect travel but I was under the impression that it did?
they also told me that there should be no preload, and the springs are 150mm. spring rates are 9k/front 7k/rear. I wasnt able to get the damper length or damper stroke length out of them.

That is his *personal* car. No sponsored goods there. This is his "I want to build a car how I want it" car.

Even the car is paid for out of his own pocket; it wasn't given to him by Scion.

We can custom order RaceSeng to *any* specifications, as long as we have the measurements

Unfortunately without all the info I can't give you a hard recommendation, but at 1.5" lower than stock, you should be fine. Any lower and you'll probably have issues.

This is based on a few assumptions, since we have an incomplete set of data. Raise the car if you want to play it safe.
