I know, I'm pulling the whole manifold this time to make sure everything is seated properly and because it looks like it's going to be easier after all

What is it that you believe is wrong to remove the kit?

Taking pipes off you lose about half a liter if that. I let the coolant run into a small 500ml jug, from the front pipe, once cooler empty remove rear. Just keep both ends elevated to stop gravity feed and lose more coolant.
Suggest maybe some Castrol Engine cleaner, to spray over the engine and hose down with water when you done, to ensure you don't get the coolant drying on your engine.

Red rubber grease which I'm sure you have from installation.

Some things I did while kit was off.
Resealed the L connectors
Red rubber greased the manifold o rings
Red rubber grease the SC main o ring
Pulled the back off Sc checked for oil

Most important check if you can see any signs of coolant leak into the manifold or the ports.
I also got carb spray and cleaned out the manifold.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

AFR is going lean at higher RPM's. No vacuum leaks could be found. I spoke with Bill @ Delicious and after reviewing my logs he didn't see anything out of the ordinary (other than the lean condition). He suggested the two seals that go on top of the IC (pictured below, the ones that go in the machined channels at the top and bottom) can sometimes leak, so that's what I'm verifying.

Actually, i'm not sure that I have this handy. Is it something available at a standard auto parts store? if so, do you have a brand name?

My intercooler kit didn't come with seals for those 2 channels. What exactly are those channels sealing?

Not sure what exactly their purpose is, but here's a photo from the sprintex install manual

woo! i may have finally gotten the thing i need to make my (current) problems a thing of the past. new tensioner arrived, so now all that's left to do is install it, turn the one that's broken into a manual tensioner, and be happy.

you won't find that in the states. Just get dielectric grease, thats what I used. Can get it in autozone/advanced auto/etc

I don't have those o ring seals installed on my kit. I ordered my kit through fa20club along with their "custom" intercooler kit and Toni told me that those seals weren't needed.....I have them now since I went with the standard innovate intercooler but haven't installed them. I'm not looking forward to taking the blower off and installing these IF they really are necessary.

Which o rings are you referring too??
If it's the 3 on each adapter it is most definitely needed, as they stop coolant and boost leaks in the core.

You apply silicone to the 4 posts to prevent them from damaging the core. I've heard issues of the cooler cracking due to banging on the posts.

While you have the cooler out, if you can take to your nearest radiator shop and have them pressure test the cooler. That's where I found my leak.
There 4 tubes in the core each have o rings, which did not seal.
Test under 1 bar up to 1.5 bar pressure under water.
Use your adapter plugs in the cooler, that will also tell you if they sealing.

I'm referring to the rubber strips that fit in the grooves on top of the laminova core

Any word on the release of the upgraded blower? I tried searching but my phone doesn't support typing into the popup for the search.
