What spring rates are you on? Do you think your car understeers, oversteers, or is perfectly neutral?

The track wheels I bought are 17x8 with an offset of 50mm. I was going to add a 20mm spacer/adapter front and 30mm in the rear. Is there any disadvantage of using spacers on the track?

In my mind, bolt on spacers just make one more thing you need to worry about and check. I like simple. Some say spacers bring more stress to your wheel bearings as well, not sure if the spacer cause it or if the total offset of the wheel is the impact. |

I recommend ARP extended studs, and blank spacers. You can stack spacers as you see fit this way. |

No concern about loosing the hubcentric feature?

It's definitely not the spacer itself causing the wheel bearing stress, it's the resulting change in total offset.
I personally wouldn't run spacers on track because I like to keep things pretty simple, but if you don't mind doing a nut and bolt check on them before and after every event, go for it. A lot of people will argue about the hub centric rings and they're 100% right that they don't support the wheel once the lugs are tight. I've had enough bad experiences trying to make wheels actually seat properly on the hub without them that I'll never run without them again. Wheels should self-center as you tighten the lugs but even a couple of thousandths of run-out can be noticeable and if you're not really careful to gradually tighten each lug nut using your fingertips to ensure it's seated a little bit at a time to let the conical seats do their job you're going to have a bad time. |
