It probably has to do with the winter mix fuel in your area

Some report crickets disappearing over time, myself included, regardless of outside temperature or fuel used. They could be gone for good, I haven't heard mine since late spring/early summer.

I'm on 1,100mi, 4 weeks have passed, and my pump is starting to get just a little bit squeaky. Nothing like the full on crickets but my faith in this latest pump installation is beginning to grow dim.

Same thing here. I've posted twice about my new pump not chirping and I just started hearing it chirping today.

I'm around the 1000 mile mark and had it for over a month. It's nowhere near as loud as it was on my previous two pumps but they're back.

I can live with this new noise though. Just as long as it doesn't get louder.

Try again Toyobaru!

I also have the crickets. Had them since about 400 miles and still everyday at 2600 miles now. Picked my BRZ up October of this year and it is a 2014 model. My VIN is E*601446 and I do not see this VIN in either of the TSB's from Subaru. Went to my dealer that I bought the car from to have them notate that its chirping and that I want it fixed and I got the runaround that they are only fixing cars that have a loss in fuel pressure, which of course is BS. Printed the latest TSB and it shows a different VIN than my car has. Just wondering what I can do to get them to fix my car.

Ok I figured out that all VIN's BEFORE the 536 VIN is covered with the latest TSB from 10-28-13. I read on here about an even newer pump being made right now since some of the newest are still faulty. Just wondering if I should take this TSB in to get mine replaced or wait for a new TSB for another redesigned HPFP.

Wait for a new pump unless woodpeckers ate all the crickets and took over their space.

Hate to jinx it but I'm @ like 400-500 est miles on new pump and still good to go. Still using the same stations 93 premium that I used before when I had them on the first and second pump. I will say the car hasn't been driven as much as when I first got it due to being out of the state for work, the on vacay and then being screwed and sent to a DHS office in Atlanta for almost two weeks. If the weather is nice this weekend I plan on getting her cleaned and driving her this weekend. Really hope they stay gone.

Congress is looking at ending the Ethanol requirement for gas, we may all be getting good gas soon and saying goodbye to our cricket companions!

This has been in debate for a few years now. Won't happen, corn farmers love their subsidies too much.
