1000cc seems like overkill but I guess depends on your hp target....

I have JDL UEL headers that are going on the car soon along with an front pipe, over pipe, and full exhaust.

I was thinking that the ID1000cc seemed overkill but those were recommended as being better / easier to tune then the DW700cc.

This is the one reason I wanted to post what setup I am looking at before jumping in.

Anyone see anything wrong with this setup? Am I missing anything other then a EcuTek license and tune (still researching and debating).

I picked up the following items gently used:
ACT-XTSS clutch kit
EcuTek cable and dongle
Delicious Tuning Flex Fuel kit
We're missing your order!

ID/DW injectors all use Bosch cores, but we don't see the need to spend extra money on huge injectors unless you think you'll actually need it. 1000CC injectors on this platform with E85 is 600whp...

It's not mandatory but you'll run out of fuel up top if you don't, even on a C30 with standard pulley.

I have very simple setup to you with E85 and was too recommended to run upgraded Fuel Pump and Injectors.

You're gonna enjoy the E85 ^_^

Damn. Just curious what whp are you getting with you particular setup?

I'm getting antsy on all parts to come in! Last item are my Ace headers.

Want to experience the E85 goodness.

Funny thing is I'm curious as well, I haven't had the chance to dyno to see what I'm getting at the wheels but e85 over 91 is definitely noticeable.

I am debating between these two engine mounts...

Perrin (read about some melting with FI setups)
Cusco (stiffer and seem to cause more NVH then Perrin)

Those who upgraded their engine mounts, what did you go with ?

I went with the sti motor and tranny mounts. Made a nice difference with no increase in nvh that I've noticed. Things just feel tightened up.

Injectors, yes. Fuel pump, no.

I ran e85 on a c30 with DW 700cc injectors with no issues for a year. I only upgraded my fuel pump when I went to the HBP this weekend. Upgrading the pump won't hurt anything, though. If you want to go high boost at some point it may just be worth getting it out of the way, but your clutch would be a bigger deal at that point.

Just wanted to throw this out there to make it known for others that may hear this noise/sound...

This morning while driving my JR SC BRZ I noticed my Kayser (part # 3.023.348) BPV/diverter valve was making a fluttering noise - more-so than the normal "pshwoosh" sound that it would make. Decided to search for possible leaks and I found the vacuum hose (on the small nipple) had a split about halfway through the hose - this was causing the leak and the fluttering noise.

Hopefully this can help someone out in the future if needed.

You will need a Fuel pump with FI and E85 (on anything that makes more power than an InnovatE).

Log your fuel pressures and/or watch the amount of time the PI stays open up top, and you'll see why. Without a fuel pump, your power will nose over and while you won't blow up your car with a safe tune, you'll be missing out on a lot of power.

Make sure the vacuum hose is routed away from sharp edges and/or heat sources

If you're planning e85 a pump and injectors definitely aren't a bad idea, that being said I doubt you'll be needing 1000cc (major overkill I think), 700-750cc should be more than plenty.

Hey guys, i have had the c38 kit installed and running smoothly for about 5 days now. Im still waiting to break in the supercharger sufficiently before doing any WOT. With regards to the rotrex oil level ive checked the level while revving between 2-3k rpm and it appears just fine, when the car is off the oil level is right at the min. I all i used about 780ml of oil and was just wondering how much all of you used when filling up the system.
