Hey everybody, got my whiteout FRS almost a month of it. Just got to 1000 miles. I have been loving every moment. Also my first MT. I'm very happy with my decision.

Congrats on the new car and welcome to the forums! Way to go on the tranny choice. I'm always surprised by the amount of manual-curious people that end up going with A/T because they don't have much experience with a manual. No one ever started out with a bunch of experience. I learned to drive a manual by buying a new car too. You won't regret it!

Hello everyone.

Been lurking here for a while when I was researching which car to get, thankfully that research is over and I have a shiny FR-S sitting in my driveway .

Managed to find one used (they're pretty hard to come by here at any sort of price that justifies going used instead of new). I was hoping to pick up the MT but I got one with an AT that I just couldn't pass up, and it's been a ton of fun bombing around with this powertrain. No regrets.

The Toyota dealership messed up their web posting and marked it $2800 lower on Autotrader than what the car was marked as on their lot & on their website. Showed up for a test drive and he started negotiating at their website's price (which was already a bit below average), so I was able to instantly haggle them down by $2800 when I pointed that out, and then some. By far the cheapest FR-S I've seen put up for sale so far in this area, and I've been blown away by the professionalism of the Toyota/Scion dealership (this one at least).

This seems like a great community and the amount of info that I have been able to glean from here already has been a huge help. Looking forward to finally being a member and starting to contribute.

Now to continue researching upgrades .

Congrats on the car and the deal. You're definitely right about a used price low enough to justify buying. I just bought a used one myself, so I can certainly confirm this.

Hello everyone,

My name is Mikhail and I'm a long-time lurker from Charlotte, NC. Love the site and the wonderful community. Lots of amazing things going on in the DIY section that I can't wait to get started on. I used to work for Toyota and couldn't wait for them to roll out the FR-S. Picked mine up last Wednesday!

Hi everyone. I picked up my FR-S a little over a week ago. This seems to be a great site, and it has lots of info. I look forward to being part of the community. Maybe I'll get to meet some fellow member that live in the Gainesville area!

Just recently got a 10 series as a DD. :happy0180:

No pics of the FR-S yet, but here is the toy:

I really need to get a pic of the two together...

Hopefully I'll get to meet some Houston owners.

New here, I shot at Eight6 Day in Austin. Got to ride around in Danh's TRD inspired FRS and rode there in JDMWhiteBoys Army AE.

Thinking about getting a FRS as a daily and its fairly tempting.

Nausicaä

Hello everyone!

I'm in love with this car since first time I saw it, just waiting for a 2014 model to do my purchase, She will be a Witheout and will be named "Nausicaa" like the princess Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, great movie by the way.
