The bigger question is really what is going to happen to the ND. I do not envy the SEB, having a car that is so important to our membership appear to be too fast for CS, but maybe not fast enough for BS. Put it in BS and you may bury it. Put it in CS and you could kill the healthiest class in the category.

Rock/SAC & SEB/Hard Place

The TRD equipped cars are still going to be bigger, heavier, and slower than the ND while on the same size tires. If the TRD cars go to BS, the ND has to.

Thanks for the shoutout Brian. It was fun running with you guys at PPIR. I think any thought of an FRS being an overdog is a bit ridiculous. In CS, I think we have the potential of a pretty close fight between drivers in MX-5s, RX-8s and Twins at the Pro Finale and Solo Nats....three different cars that have a chance to win isn't bad at all for a stock-type class. And like Mark said, Fenter kicked my butt in Lincoln. There were moral victories like matching him in the dry on Day 2.....but cars aren't class overdogs because of moral victories/losing by 0.8s.

To clarify on the kid I caught.....he was 15, at his 3rd autocross and had to carry a passenger because he only had his learners permit. I started autocrossing when I was 16 and I'm pretty sure me now would catch me at 16!

Trying to adjust my alignment after installing Cusco Front bar and camber bolts. Looks like around -1.8 on stock springs and tires in the front. I want to dial a little toe in in the rear (coming from FWD) till I am used to the handling, but i cannot seem to locate how to adjust the rear toe. Any suggestions or is it fixed?

If you look at it, there's a fixed link coming off the front of the rear knuckle, that goes to the body and it has an eccentric bolt. (A bolt that is offset from the center). You rotate this bolt to move the link in and out to adjust toe.

Well, if I had looked at from the rear vs the front, I would have seen that. A duh moment! I will blame 6 hrs of working on cars yesterday with heat index higher than 100 (or dementia)

Ok, 7th event of the season, just pulled off my first win in any class. I've trophied a few times before. Took CS today by .110 against the only other car with Bridgestones. Also handed our local CS winner his 2nd loss of the season, he took 3rd.

Car is TRD springs, bars, full strut Konis. +42mm RPF1's with 225/45-17 stones.

Here's my 4th run on the stones.

anyone here install ONLY the TRD front and rear sway bars while keeping everything else OEM?

I'm currently on a Strano FSB and looking to experiment.

They're a separate package so you should be fine. front bar is 21mm and rear is 16mm. I did it with the springs because they were slightly stiffer.

I'd still throw the springs on if I were you. You do get 4 stock bars to play with and 1 aftermarket.

This isn't totally scientific but certainly interesting enough info to speculate about for experimentation purposes:
The Strano bar is 85% stiffer than stock according to Stranoparts.com
The TRD front bar is 21mm. The stock front bar is 18mm. So according to this: http://whiteline.com.au/docs/bulletins/BL-281.pdf

...if the TRD front bar is the same dimensions (looked like it when I installed it but don't quote me) and materials (this is where the science gets hard to validate) as the stock bar only thicker, then the Strano bar and TRD bar are the same stiffness.

Actually I know of someone who swapped the front TRD bar for the Strano but I haven't had a chance to ask them if there was a noticeable difference. I know they read here occasionally so maybe they will chime in...

Are the TRD springs, sways, and wheels legal for 2015? Any foreseeable changes for 2016? I want to be as competitive as a can for next year and I am starting to piece together modifications now. I have only now started to auto cross. My first event made it glaringly obvious that my tires are my biggest issue at the moment. (2015 frs)

The TRD equipped FR-S has already been put down for B-Street by SCCA. I personally don't see an issue for TRD parts on the FR-S for C-Street for the foreseeable future and it hasn't proven to be a significant advantage yet.

so.... if I already have a strano, the only benefit would be is if I was to find only the RSB from TRD?

Last fasttrack has the RS 1.0 moving from BS down into CS.

Yes, the bars and springs are legal on 2013-2015 FRS, probably 2016 too if scion still has it on the website when you build your car.

IMHO do both the springs and bars, I love the setup.
