Opening up the headlights tomorrow to black out some of the chrome fittings!!!! Got many DIY's printed out and I will also be doing the squirrel finder mod and hopefully take it out or at least get it bent down. Pics will be uploaded during the process. What kind of paint should I use tho? Advise will be greatly appreciated!!! Doing a matte finish so no clear coat will be needed.... And has anyone taken off the front bumper without damaging side markers? Read a couple forums where people pulled it off and damaged the side markers.....

Take the side markers off first. They pop off with a screwdriver. I would use hobby paint or even platidip in case you want to change things up later. Remember to be patient and keep that heat low. I saw the pics of the guy that cooked his headlights. I did this on an old motorcycle when I retrofitted hid projectors and it came out really nice.

True. I think he is running hid's which should run a little cooler. But there is no getting away from our sun.

Thx for advice guys. Ill probably use plastidip since I have some of that and if I don't like I can just remove easy or if I mess up. But yes I will be baking them at 225 for roughly about 10 minutes each headlight.
@Yruyur- thx for that tip on taking side markers out and how it's a single screw... |

There is a diy on it. I had to take mine off to paint them. Its actually not a screw but a screw driver put into a hole to pry on a release tab.
