Left side could have been faster bit wasn't, boo!

Driving tips appreciated. I know I was sawing at the wheel a lot. I gotta be smoother on my inputs.
You're lines look pretty good to me having run the courses, so it's things that have already been said. Look ahead (my main problem), quiet down the hands a bit and it's hard to tell from just that one camera angle with no data, but I think you can be a bit more aggressive on braking and throttle. Try and eliminate areas where you coast a bit in the turns... basically cutting down the time between braking into a turn and accelerating out. All of that said, you did really well, good job on the improvements!

Thanks for the kind words.

I know looking ahead helps a ton! Just gotta keep doing it thru the whole course haha! It's funny how when you look ahead how much smoother your lines are and how much slower it feels that you're traveling.

My plans for the rest of the year is to do an EVO school then get some Hoosierstones!

Oh, here's one I remembered. "Braking is an event." A lot of times I found myself kind of lifting early and lazily braking into a corner. Now it's almost into abs all the time and later into the corner, and I try to get it done in a straight line without upsetting the car. I Also try to do slow in, fast out and will give up a little coming into a turn, where as before I'd go hard charging into a corner and then the car would push and I'd be really offline coming out.

Just as an update, I measured my Konis vs. my stock struts last night, only focused on the openings for the attachment to the spindle, and they measured out exactly the same in every measurable way on my digital micrometer that is good to .1 millimeter.

I'm running the Konis, and if anyone wants to protest, let them throw paper.

Thank you Chris. I think the Koni "urban legend" of their full struts giving too much negative camber vs inserts in stock strut housings has been Mythbusted!

So what has your front camber measured out to?

Installed Koni inserts with TRD springs this weekend and was only able to get

1.2 deg front left
1.1 degrees front right

On the bright side, I found that my front swaybar had been binding to the point that I had to use a lot of force to move it up and down and was able to fix that.

These were my findings also. And I got the same -1.5 camber on Konis as with OEM struts.

Are you using the camber bolts? That figure seems low.

On a related note, I'm going to be switching to STX soon, so my full replacement Konis will be for sale soon. Figured I would post it here before putting it in the general classifieds. Three months old, only have 250 highway miles and 4 events on them. I'll probably want $600 for the set.

So this past weekend at the Rocky Mountain Champ Tour, CS experienced FR-S domination. Some of the locals were starting to whisper about "B Street" "TRD cheater springs" and "hoosierstones".

Mr. Ogburn took 1st by a serious margin and I took 2nd also with a good gap ahead of the rest of the class. Actually Dave drove soooooo fast on Saturday that he caught the car in front of him and scored a re-run! I didn't know such a thing was possible and I seriously questioned his sportsmanship for using his advanced driving skills to accomplish such a feat!

All joking aside, it was great to have Dave bring some serious competition to Colorado. I believe he placed 5th on the PAX index while I was 18th out of 147 drivers. Below are my videos from the weekend and hopefully Dave will post his for comparison. Overall I think I am under driving the car a bit because I fear it's current understeering attitude (high elevation brings this out IMO). Day 2's course had what should have been a 1-2-1 shift sequence at the beginning. I ended up going the conservative route and skipped the shift back to 1st for my 3rd run because I needed a solid time not to destroy my 2 second lead over 3rd from Day 1.

Driving feedback/critiques appreciated!

I'm not too worried, yes, they'll keep an eye on it, but I still see mx5's and RX8's winning. Depends on the drivers. As for hoosier stones, everyone can run them, so not a big deal. Looking at the results, I only recognize your name and Dave's name. Oh, and Dave has been beaten this year on the TRD parts. The car is not an overdog. But yeah, that's a serious gap back to third.
