It really depends on how much it bothers you but it drives me crazy and I often take my wifes car places because of it.

Lol your not paying for the fuel pumps correct? You have a warranty correct? If you don't wanna hear the chirps. Invest into a sound system so you personally can't hear it nor others cause of that bumping system..... I understand about being picky of what you pay for but these little issues that will sooner or later be fixed be worth going thru all that shit? I mean if you say you love this car and how it handles and this and that, why not wait till Toyota has an official fix?

It already has insulation so I'm assuming they want to keep it warmer than colder but here in phoenix who knows could get to hot for it.

I do like the car not the infatuation like i had with my Corvette but it's not a bad little car. My only question for them is how long is eventually. It has been 7 months sense the problem was discovered how long are they going to drag their feet on a fix. I expected better and if it was even that they found a fix and we just had to wait for the parts I would be okay with that. To me it almost seems like they are dragging there feet hoping people just stop asking about it.

I don't even know how anyone hears the chirp without the windows rolled down, stopped at a stoplight, with the radio off. I can BARELY hear mine if I turn the radio off, and if I roll the windows down it's only noticeable if I listen for it. Until someone proves that the fuel system chirp is anything more than one of those "what has been heard cannot be unheard" noises, I don't see what the big deal is. turn your radio up a little bit, roll the windows up at a stoplight, and let the toyota and subaru boffins come up with a legitimate solution if they deem it a big enough issue to bother correcting. Otherwise, you just sound like someone who wants money because the 25k sports car you bought isn't silent as a mouse.

Ooh, or come down to LM, we'll fab up a custom midpipe like we did for my car and you'll never be able to hear that chirp again.

Just my .02

Yeah it had been months but do you think it's actually Toyota trying to solve this issue or subby? It's subby, not Toyota! The only thing Toyota in this car would be the bespoke and injection system.... This is what happens when u have some other company produce their cars..... And I thought you still had your corvette? And another thing that I just remember that I was gonna ask you, what mod did you do to your throttle body? Did you say you implemented a new screen? Well there isn't any screen in mine at all so how did you do this? And can you show me a pic of this please?

just called my friend who did the throttle body work. he said the kit came with a screen and that is what he handed me and it didn't come out of the car like I thought.
I told everyone at local motors I just sold my corvette over thanksgiving to my uncle in Michigan and he had it shipped up to him.

My lawyer says it has limitations but has a clause that says you don't have to be seen 4 times for the same problem or the 45 days in the shop to get a lemon law settlement you only have to have that if you want to get rid of the car and get a different one.

Ok no prob it was a universal kit just to make it open smoother... not that it needed it but it was free. I didn't notice much of a change if any at all I think a tune would probably be the best way to get throttle response improvement. These kits are more for older muscle cars be bought it for his old camaro but never put it on and the rod ends where the same size. No effing clue why he would give me that stupid screen like he took it off the car... Sorry about the misinformation I didn't understand that he didn't use it not that he took it off.
