I-15 from the corner of Nevada through Arizona is curvy and fun, but it's been under constant construction through the canyon for at least 10 years. I don't think they're actually constructing anything; I think they leave it "under construction" as a speed control tactic.

You could definitely hit up more of CA Hwy 2, but you would be doubling back and forth a bit coming out of LA. Watch out for bicyclists on LA mountain roads. They don't understand that "share the road" means they have to share too, so you'll come around a blind uphill corner and find a pack of cyclists five across blocking the entire lane. Also be courteous to motorcyclists going faster than you, because you're holding them up. I've stayed far to the outside line and let them pass me in my lane before, because there's never a passing lane when you need one and it's better to have both drivers on the same page instead of the cyclist taking it into his own hands and passing you when you aren't expecting it. Watch for cops monitoring everyone. They know people like to drive those roads fast. Hitting the LA mountain roads on a weekend is a nightmare of fat lawyers wearing branded spandex without actually being sponsored, so time that portion so it'll be on a weekday. Watch for hikers. Sometimes you have a vertical wall on one side and a vertical drop on the other, so literally the only place to walk is on the very windy road. Watch for fallen rocks in the road. They can be big enough to eat your bumper. Be prepared to come to a quick controlled stop around every blind corner. Also, there are some gorgeous scenic overlooks on those roads.

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely won't be going over 80 up to salt lake city, probably be too tired after Zion so cruise control it to end the day.

Was thinking about going through all of highway 2 in CA but seen videos of Big Tijunga. Maybe I'll change it up. Also, I always wave people by when I see them behind me.. like to go at my own pace and not feel hurried by others behind. Won't be going too fast since I won't have another buddy in front to give me warnings like usual

Oh, also looked at weather reports. This whole week would've been a perfect start. By the time I leave next week and hit Medford OR, its going to be upper 80's to low 90's. Its going to be literal hell when I venture to Death Valley.. (115+!)

Yep well I didn't pay him jack because he did jack.

Agree totally with you but I gave up when I knew he didn't have a clue.

Think I will just fine tune it myself as @Ultramaroon can attest to

Ha, yeah. Because alignment doesn't require any special tools.

It's one of my pain points. I've gone through a couple shops in the last five years. Both of them were personally recommended. They both did lousy work.

When I get back I'm going to spend three days going back and forth all over Angeles Forest, Angeles Crest, and the surround roads, just so I can go drive. What you may want to do is take Big Tajunga to Hwy 2 all the way out to the end of 2 like you have scheduled, then turn around and take 2 back to Angeles Crest and take that up to Palmdale. From there you can get on 14 north and cross over to 395 above Edwards AFB. That'll be more enjoyable than getting off at the end of 2 and just sitting on 395 for hours.
