Know what you mean, sure we all have a tale of a hammer wielding jackass dealership mechanic that has done more harm than good..

Mine is on the wife's car when she said it was running a bit strange after a routine service, turns out they forgot to refill the engine oil..totally dry sump!
Major engine damage and warranty claims ensued, great fun..

Anyhow, I do what I can myself to avoid this now. Especially on the 86.

I have a story for each and every time I have given up a vehicle to be serviced by someone. !00%. It's absolutely horrible. I have zero trust.

I can tell many stories about this car going to dealership for service, one i like it was they charged me engine air filter but never put it in the airbox. At least they tight the oil pan bolt when got oil change

Well now we are talking about it, I took my car in for alignment today after installing the front adjustable camber bolts..as a result of 1" drop on RSR Super low downs..

The tech said he couldn't adjust front camber unless he took the wheels off(because he couldn't get to the bolts) but I had got it pretty close to -1.2 degrees on both sides when I installed them(myself), so my OCD is satisfied..

They didn't charge me coz they didn't adjust anything so not so bad an experience after all, only got kicked out of the workshop once..

It was up on the hoist so yes he could get under it, just couldn't get enough purchase on the bolts to adjust it...

Have you tried getting to the front alignment bolts from underneath on a hoist?

It is near on impossible without removing the wheels

Unless someone can enlighten me on another method...
