People's Reaction to Your New FR-S

I was just at my local 7-11 to satisfy a sugar craving and This kid pulled up, got out of his truck and just went over to it while I was talking to the clerk and was just checking it out. When I went outside he kinda smiled, and looked at me awkwardly so I said "first time in person?" and he said he'd seen it in the commercials but that's all he knew about it. I figured he was on the low end of the demographic so he'd at least know what it's all about. Apparently all he knew was seeing it on TV.
I think he's in love...
With the car! :P

I had some guy ask me what car it was last night...... I had to think for a minute because my entire car is badged as the Toyota GT86. I ended up defaulting to saying it was the new Scion FR-S

You know hes gonna go to all his buddies and be like "Yo this guy had the car for the new Fast and Furious movie at McDonalds, Its like not even in production yet and hes buddies with Vin Diesel!"

Well stopped in to sonic and the people working at the quick lube started taking pictures of my black frs. Funny the reactions you get.

A guy was walking by with his dog and even the dog stopped and looked. I think he wanted a picture with it but his owner didnt get the hint

Test drove an frs for the first time just now and saw several people, driving in the opposite direction, snap their necks back as far as possible just to get a glimpse of it.

I've had my FR-S a little over a week now... And I've had 3 individuals so far who've rolled down their windows to talk about the car.

Also saw a younger guy in a modified Mazda 3 snap a picture today... I'm sure some others have snapped pictures, but I probably didn't see them.

Only a $25k car getting this much attention? It's a good, good feeling.

I was at Import Alliance yesterday. It was pretty cool that the workers there didnt look twice at the fully built show cars, but they'd stare as I drove past in my nearly stock car

I never thought a "scion" would get as much attention as it does, let alone argentino color, but it's almost daily someone asks me about the car. One guy even asked if it was a porsche X_X

Best reaction though was when I was cleaning my car in my development, some guy driving on the road, slammed on his brakes, and made a nice hard turn into the lot, to park next to me (a really nice/clean white 12' Hyundai GC), he jumps out the car and was like "oh crap is the the fr-s"?

Asked if he could look at it, walked all around it, got in to check the interior (mind you he is a complete stranger lol), and then said he was so upset that he just bought the GC 6 months ago because he couldn't wait any longer for the FR-S. Took a step back, sighed, and drove off lol.

I tried to console him, cause his GC was beautiful, white with red accents, and red leather interior was pretty bad ass... Don't think it helped

I love the post above! I almost bought that exact car. I like it a lot but didn't love it. I love the fr-s!!!! And can't wait to take delivery of it next week. I am soooo glad I waited. )

We were out last night doing some drifting in a friend's industrial complex. A couple of guys in a modded corolla stopped by and were confused until we told them it was the new FR-S and then they both jumped out and we asked if they wanted to go for a couple of spins. The answer was yes.

I had also had people asking me about the car before I had even left the Toyota dealership.
