Feel free to post it in this thread. I've read quite a few studies but have never heard this.

A little bit below the average of what someone who eats out twice a day?? If I'm cooking for myself its just around 10$ or less a day. And thats just rounding way up. I buy in bulk, chicken drumsticks on the corner of my house at a viet store is like 65 cents a pound (bone in.) I can probably buy a weeks amount of meat, veggies, and carbs for about 40ish. If you want i can probably make a more detailed break down.

It's up to you. I just wanted to compare my spending's with others. Being a college student, I don't know if I am over spending on food. Thanks.

Ill do a quick guesstimate. So i eat about 5 meals a day.

Breakfast 4 ounce chicken breast and brown rice. Im going to round up to make things easier. Seeing how chicken breast rounded up is around 3$ a pound, 4 ounces should be 1 dollar. about 1 cup of brown rice, (uncle bens, first price that come to mind) about a dollar for a cup. Some lite alfredo sauce (about 2 dollars a jar and i use about 1 serving, about 25-50 cents.) So meal 1 is about $2.50.

Meal two you can repeat or if you want something with some more fats you can switch ti chicken dark meat. About 65 cents a pound near my house (bone in.) Ill eat like 3-4 so thats 60 cents, (i bought 10 for 2.50 the other day.) Some more rice 1$. Meal 2 is about $1.65.

Ill than go to the gym and after drink my whey (2 scoops and 5 grams of creatine. About 50 cents a scoop, and about 6 cents for 5 grams of creatine. I bought 180 servings at vitaminshopp for about 30 dollars.) The shake will run me 56 cents.

After a few hours I'll have a 8 ounce steak, not always but i usually eat better after my workout. 5$ a lbs for new york strip so thats about 1.75 rounded up to 2$. More rice 1$, and some greens. About 25-45 cents at an asian market. I'll eat about 6 ounces (25 cents.) $3.25 for meal 4.

Finally my last meal is more like snacking to hit my macros. Handful of peanuts, or a little bit of fats. 5 dollars for a container, so i'll probably eat 25 cents worth.

In a nut shell
meal 1: $2.50
meal 2: $1.65
meal 3: $0.56
meal 4: $3.25
meal 5: $0.25

Total is about $8.21 Give or take, round up to 9$ for all the seasoning and oil/pam. My earlier guess was pretty accurate. So yea if your in college, and your parents or financial aid is paying you than you should have enough. At the time when i was still in school i was getting around 1200 per semester (3-4 months.) But than now i have to pay for RACE CAR!!! #Worth
