only $100 cheaper than a base wrx???

am i missing something? and don't tell me it's in a different market, apple vs orange bs... it's made by the same manufacturer; pound for pound, feature for feature, this car should be more than just $100 cheaper than a rex...

with that said though, the starting price tag is pretty reasonable... i'm just wondering why the price doesn't line up with their other models, is all...

They will have the sub-Premium base model coming out either this year or next, so factor that in. The Premium is well equipped for what it is. How much is a Rex with navigation, push button start, and hids?

Yeah the WRX premium with nav matches up best with the BRZ premium however it does not have HIDs. It costs $29,845.

$28,095 +$750 = $28,845 #14, Navigation, HD and XM radio, $1000 $29,845

The limited adds HIDs and leather for another $1000.

The BRZ premium is really well equipped for the price.

Like you said they are the same car, so I don't understand why you needed to sling so much mud in the rest of your post.

We are in this together as FRS and BRZ owners/potential buyers. The car's success, regardless of badge, will inspire other auto makers to make rival cars, and fuel the aftermarket and factory development of the car.
That line was added in there to add fuel to the fire.

I honestly don't give 2 fucks about half of the debates that go on about who has what, who provided X amount of money, who's seats have "higher Grade" materials, etc., etc. I am satisfied with the price and can't wait to drive this pig!!!

Ugh, feeling a little sick. BRZ is priced right close to the WRX in the States.

In Canada the cheapest WRX Model is $32,495.

Lets hope that isn't a sign of things to come.

Right when I was to post this my dealer e-mailed me and said the Premier in Canada (equivalent to the Premium) is expected to come in somewhere between $26,600 and $26,900.

Dealers obviously don't care what car you buy, I went into my local Scion dealer with my complaints and want of the Toyota. They told me to go get the Subaru. I told them no, I'm a Toyota guy. Not Scion, not Subaru. Toyota. So if they don't care what version we buy, then make 'em all.
Jeeeeees so much drama over badges. I wonder if Z owners were this pissed when their precious Datsuns became Nissans.

I come from a Toyota family. We have 5 supras, a Lexus IS 300, an MR-2, a Celica, a Camry, a Tacoma, a 4Runner, and an FJ Cruiser. We also have a Scion xA (mine), xB, and xD. And I'll say this.... it feels just like owning a Toyota.

Amen! It's just a Toyota!

I haven't lost faith in the Honda or Nissan brand because some punk kids rice the shit out of their cars, so why should I with Scion? It's still a reliable, cheap Toyota.

Along the same lines, there's plenty of young guys out there ruining Porsche 911s with hella flush and wacky non-functional wings. You can't really name a brand that doesn't have it's share of "enthusiasts with questionable taste".

I don't get the whole "cheapness" about scion. These cars were built in the same dang factory. Why does noone think the painted silver brz dash looks cheap?

$28,245 Limited 6MT after dest.
$1,765.21 tax (6.25%)
$125 registration/new plates
~$300 doc fee

Total: $30,435.21, or exactly what I expected, thankfully!
I'm buying in NH....but I think the 125 is included in the 348 fee.
And what markup by SONE???? there better not be any markup...
