You say that like it's a BAD thing...

I've been yelling "Get off my lawn!" since I was in my 20s. Got sick of it, so I moved out of town....

I've caught myself doing that. "Man, these 'Best of 90s' and 'Best of 2000s' albums have really good music. Much better than the current noise.

... WTF, I'm old. When did this happen?!"

A little shameless nepotistic promotion..

My son is the pianist in this video..

If you dig it, check out stuff by "Blumen" on BandCamp or Youtube; that stuff pretty much all his writing. I confess I don't always get where some of his stuff is going, but it's pretty interesting and he's a great pianist and multi-instrumentalist.

I have the reverse issue. I listen to some of the stuff from the 60s and 70s that I used to love and can't even imagine why I liked it. There has been far better come out from the 90s to now (for my tastes).

Weird, right? Yesterday I plugged a laptop into my garage stereo (car amp, weedwhacker battery, charger, speakers) and tried to do the pandora thing.

Nope, went back to my 20 year old mix cds.

Don't know about that....I have 3 sons (20 to 28), including one who is a full blown Jazz sax playing Hipster that all like 70's era music as much or more than newer stuff.

I kinda like it, except the singing killed it for me.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out. The stuff he does as "Blumen!," at least the stuff I've heard, is all instrumental.

Here's a track from his first album...

And a "trailer" from his upcoming release...

You'll look back at these years, a few years from now, and think you weren't really that old back then .....

I still like country western and rock and roll music from the 50s.
