Holy smokes. Cant remember the last time I finished work feeling like I was run over by a truck. My feet are killing me, my back is sore, I got a heat rash and definitely did not drink enough water.

She is a Belgian malinois. Very smart and super high energy. She should get about 45-50 lbs.

Back in the 60s, I lived for 8 years down in Almaden Valley, up against the hills, and coyotes were seen often.

That's when IBM was the only major "tech" presence in the Santa Clara Valley.

I'm on the edge of los gatos. I've been here my entire life (53 years) and it has changed a lot. San Jose was mostly orchards. They are all gone now. A cheap house in almaden valley is about 126 billion dollars now. the old IBM site off Cottle road was mowed down years ago and is now a bunch of high density housing. Progress I guess.

Having chickens has been kinda fun. My oldest are 4 years old. Only 5 of the 6 are laying, but I still get lots of eggs. I usually take all the extras to the bar and trade for drinks.

Yep, my sons were born in the (a) Los Gatos hospital. We bought our first house, 1,400 sq. ft., in a new subdivision, off of Santa Teresa, in 1968 and paid $23,000 for it. Zillow says it's now worth over $804,000.

Our second house we purchased (had built) in a subdivision, off of Alamaden Expy, in 1970, was 2,000 sq. ft. and we paid $33,000 for it. Zillow says it's now worth over $1,300,000.

They were nice little houses ......... but, DANG!

Just too bad about all the cherry, prune, pear and apricot trees in the valley...... all gone away .......

Our daughter has several chickens ....... which keeps them and us in good fresh eggs ....

So my oldest son was a sniper in the Army, did 2 tours right out of high school. After, he got his BS and now is graduating in a month with a masters in business analytics, all paid for with the GI bill. He has been working at a HP spinoff here since he got his BS. So when he picks up his dog tonight he tells me he hates working in an office and wants to be a cop. Go figure.

I hate being in an office. The new place I applied at has options of office work or field work, and they allow people to choose depending on their mood for the month!
