My 80 year old mother has recently had both hips replaced and is finally mobile again after 15 year of pain.

Best of luck to you. It will get better. My wife has had similar on her shoulder and most recently a bone spur inflaming her achilles tendon. It takes a long time to heal but worth it in the end.

We just weren't meant to live this long so, with modern medicine/tech, it's all bonus.

Since I'll be a daywalker again come next month, decided to become acclimated to the bright yellow ball in the sky yesterday. I now look like beef jerky.

A father and son was interested in autox so I dedicated my PM session to fun runs. The dad was interested in my car and commented how balanced it felt. Was surprised only mod I've done was tires. Anyhoo, I still suck, need to work on being less aggressive with steering...

shit is hell. you use your hip to do everything. so basically I had a bone impingement that wore away at my labrum causing a tare. so they went in there(arthroscopy) to fix the tare. they also found some torn cartilage he had to repair. so instead of 1 week on crutches and maybe 3 month recovery. it's going to be 3 weeks and 6 months. fml.

worst part so far aside from the day of surgery and the next is this strain or something in my tailbone. any flexion back there and it feels like a knife is going into my tailbone. standing up, rolling over in bed and even sitting at my desk. brutal.

wish my luck fellas and broads. won't even be driving my car for at least a week. I'll find out how long at post op on friday.
Well, echo419, I'll give you credit for having the guts to move forward with the "fix".

I've had hip problems for the past 10 years. So far, I've gotten by with limiting my activity, exercise, and ma "meds".

My left hip hurts the worse ..... but, I'm afraid if I get it replaced, the other hip will act up worse ..... and if I get it replaced ...... my knees will give out ..... and if I get them replaced ...... my back will give me problems......

By the time I get all of those parts fixed and recover ...... my cancer may return.

Hey, as they say "getting old is not for sissies" .......

Look on the bright side, if you get the work done, you'd be halfway to being the bionic man.

Nice.
I'm still waiting on a couple things, but hopefully I'll be on a normal schedule soon too.

Could have wished it was under my own power but oh well, I won't miss any events with friends and family from now on.

Can finally attend a car event/drives without feeling so tired all the time. Not doing night shift ever again.

I haven't watched hentai at work since they banned videos months back.

Yup!

The front tires overheated really bad and lost all grip during my last 2 runs, one reason that contributed toward me plowing on the last turnaround (also me not scrubbing enough speed).

Also didn't help the course was really technical (more turning = more heat) and it was unusually hot in general. Overall, really loved the tires. Not going to get the best times compared to those running the 200tw tires (re71, rival s, etc) but they are good for what they do! Still much more room for the driver to improve
