so your tail lights are the JDM US-Spec (no wiring, does it need a relay though?)?

Also the JDM US-Spec are the ones that blink amber BUT there is no side reflector, or does the side reflector not light up? confused about that last part.

Pretty disappointed to find out that the USDM ones will have a red blinker, I hate it on other cars since it's so hard to see during the day, would hate for someone to not see me haha.

I opted for the JDM US SPEC because its plug and play, they all NEED relays *nothing you can do about that*.

Its amber ORANGE on the turn signals, even with the RED lens. THERE are reflectors on the side except it doesn't light up.

I don't remember my brothers cars or family cars that have a tail light side refflector light up so i dont know why that is even required.

Lastly, i felt the least amount of light there is, the cleaner it will look especially at night when its all it up.

The RELAY is like easy to install anyways, i don't get why people make a big deal about that.

Ill let you guys in on a trick for the relay (YANK THE WHOLE THING OFF, INCLUDING THE WHITE CLIP THAT ATTACHES TO THE RELAY) Now once you have that off together, detatch the white clip, put the white clip on the TOMS relay, then put the white clip back into the car. THIS helps with time, and helps prevents you from f%$%ing up your hands.

as long as the relay is included i have no problems, just always assumed it was a secondary purchase. based on your reply i'm gonna go with the JDM US-Spec tail lights then.

you see how the side has a dot that is lit up? This is the USDM, I think thats ugly, but then again its DOT approved. The JDM ones just look cleaner at night, and overall.

in this case i felt less is better, makes the GLOWING C look sharper

yeah, that's horrible. maybe if it wasn't as "glowing" and had a distinct cutoff like the rear "C" lights it would look better

Shaved off ~20lbs of rotating, un-sprung mass.

And made the car look wicked :3

Next up: sways, coils, and a ~1 inch drop.

Uugghh just found a bean sized chip on lower part of bumper and a small dent on the right rear fender. No paint damage and you can't feel it.

Maybe I should stop washing my car so I don't find new battle scars.

Gave in and bought the full polyurethane chargespeed kit from BaysonR... ordered it 3 hours ago and they got it shipped already. Me Gusta!

I figure if it doesn't fit/look right with the STi lip then I can always sell the lip. The price on the BaysonR parts makes me smile. Not sure If I'll paint them. Will see how well the plastic matches the diffuser.

exactly what I did. Also look a little close as the lights when lit, there is a small window where the reflector is and allows light to pass through. Granted it does not illuminate entirely but it does have a small illumination. I bought the JDM US-Spec as well, super easy install and as stated before, did the same thing with the relay as you.

I bet that made a very dramatic improvement in handling! That's quite the weight savings.

It's not really noticeably faster in a straight line (I'm sure it is slightly faster, but my butt-dyno isn't that sensitive), but you can really feel a difference when driving over uneven / undulating / bumpy surfaces. The car feels like it's dancing over them now instead of being bounced around... it definitely feels "lighter." Maybe I'm imagining things, but it sounds like it revs a bit quicker when accelerating at the top of 1st and 2nd gear as well... so I guess it doesn't feel faster, but sounds faster? Idk :P

I had the Primacies rotated end for end and side to side when I had the wheels put on, since my rears were wearing more on the outsides than the insides. Once I kill the stock tyres I'm planning on going to something smaller, lighter, and lower aspect-ratio. That should help even more, especially with effective torque at the wheels (I hope)-- keep the same wheel size, but lose an inch of outer diameter.
