How long did everyone wait until they put on their license plates? Getting close to 2-months since I took the FR-S home, plates still in the yellow envelope.

=)

I put my rear one on this past weekend. I'm waiting for a replacement grimmspeed tow-hook kit for the front... Accidentally bought a WRX one instead of BRZ/FRS :\ (if anyone wants to take it off my hands, I'm willing to get rid of it).

Was going to wait until after I got personalized plates but the officers at work bugged me a lot when I got my Mazda so I'd rather not deal with it this time around.

got my car from portland, OR for over a month. I called the dealership last week and they were like "sorry we forgot to send you the package for the license plate" so i wont worry about it probably till next year.

They gave me a temp plate til end of Oct. then on vacation, so i wont get to DMV till mid. Nov/beg. Dec

by the time i have mine, it would be probably 4 months

I went about 4 months without it, waiting until I got my custom plates to put them on. Legally you have 6 months before you need to put them on, that is the legal loophole the late Steve Jobs used to exploit to always run without plates. Practically speaking if you car looks fairly stock and clean looking you could probably run without plates indefinitely; since the car is fairly new and hasn't changed body style yet no one can tell a new car from an old one. You just run the risk (after 6 months) of being fined/ticketed for no plates if you happen to catch the eye of a police officer for other reasons.

So my wife is a huge fan of these coupon sites (amazon local, groupon, living social, etc.). so every now and then, she e-mails me coupons for restaurants she wants to go to, etc. Every once in a while, she sends me an "exotic car driving" coupon (bless her heart) that she knows I won't buy but sends me anyway for kicks. This morning, I get this from her:

local.amazon.com/san-francisco/B00FN2M0BW

Yes, its a coupon to rent out T-hill for a whole day! FT86 trackday anyone?! Half joking/serious, there is even a $7,350 option for a 25 car private event (~$290 per car, which is pretty much the price of a trackday)

LOL sounds pretty awesome... if I win the Powerball I'm totally gonna buy this and invite my 24 best driving buddies to hit the track with me.
