I think you'd be better off posting pictures and see if we see anything unusual

Check your MAF sensor orientation.

Nope. Didn't throw a code for me when I had it the wrong way.

The plug should be pointing towards the front bumper.

If there is anything that this adventure has taught me is that life is short. More on that later though. I have decided that when I get home I will be ordering this kit with the CARB tune. Being compulsive as I am I will order a few extra items with it to have in the garage including extra traction fluid, extra filter, and an extra belt to keep in the trunk. I will go for the JROC as well. I am wondering if the decision was made to clamp the hoses under the intake or if those are still left untouched.

I am also wondering, those that have installed the kit already, how much would an extremely detailed install video help? There's almost no content on this kit out there so I wonder if it's worth making said video(s) for those that are thinking of purchasing the kit with all the lessons learned on this thread incorporated (such as installing the MAF housing backwards) for those unwilling to read every single page as I have. If there is enough interest I may do it at a major inconvenience to me because I am not a you-tuber and this would likely prolong my install from one to three days not to mention all the editing and voice over time. Also the wife will not enjoy keeping her Subaru outside for three days while I fool about HA! I do understand the instructions are some of the best of any FI kit so I am already leaning against it.

Future plans include a full 2.5 inch exhaust with a single high flow cat and the Delicious BTFF kit but that's when I move to Oregon and don't have to deal with those pesky smog laws. The rest of my build isn't relevant here except one question I have; how will the CARB tune take a light weight flywheel? I am looking at the ACT setup CSG is very fond of (HDSS). I know with the right tune drivability is not effected but I may want it while I am still in Utah and on the CARB tune. I will be going with the slightly heavier option which I believe is 11.8 lb. If it just isn't practical on the CARB tune then is there even any drawback of the 10.5 lb FW vs. the 11.8 lb with accompanying tune?

Thank you in advance for everything on this thread already as I have read every single page and there are many of you that have made this a quality thread to read packed full of answers to questions I had not even thought of. This is my first post and I seriously hope the clutch question has not been asked yet though I am sure it hasn't.

Instructions are easy to follow.

Clutch/flywheel has no issues on a CARB setup. It can take the power no problem. HDSS is fine. We use XTSS and the 10.5lb flywheel with absolutely no driveability issues. We also spend hours in traffic every day so I don't think it's an issue.

Right, that makes sense with the amount of power you are putting down. The reason I ask is because I know with the delicious tune there are issues with the light weight flywheel, or so the site leads me to believe with that being stated in the tune's description, but I also understand the tunes are very different. It's good to know I can make the upgrade with the CARB tune and not worry about suffering from poor drivability. Thank you for your quick response.

Checked the contents of my package. Bought the kit from ft86speedfactory. Found this...

So I opened it and...

Looks like the rotrex traction oil leaked during transit. The install supposedly would need the contents of a full bottle. Thoughts? I already contacted Jackson Racing about this....I have an appointment for the install on Saturday 12/19/15.

eh, it doesn't quite take the full bottle. You should be fine. Just order another bottle off of amazon to keep it topped up.
