Hi Matt, the Belt cover is the Carbign Craft Carbon fibre cover, trimmed down to fit. In order for me to be legal on the street, it is a requirement for my charger pulley and belt to be covered, so this seemed like the best option. The stock A/C and alternator covers sit underneath it.
As for the alloy sandwich, my boost gauge is running off that. It does not seem to make any difference to my readings whether installed or not, as that was my first thought as well.( I'll pull it off again just to double check and be sure)
Yesterday was 37C with 98 percent humidity and today is shaping up to be about the same. Giving the front exchanger a mist with a spray bottle will make the temps drop rapidly, so everything appears normal. I live on the Gold Coast, and we are in the height of Summer here, so I think it may just be a case of climate ?

thats pretty hot and humid
so its good to hear the kit is still holding up well with 12 degrees over ambient in these conditions?

Yep, seems fine. I took it to my tuner who not only specialise in supercharger installations but are a big name in Australian Motorsport and they said is normal. I pulled the spacer today and still ran 12C over ambient (34C) just taking it easy. I do have the Perrin cooler up front so that may be a factor as well, but I think the proper solution to my intake temps is most likely going to be venting the bonnet for heat extraction. Seriously considering the Trackspec vents.

I'd agree that some bonnet vents on the leading edge would help considerably

only thing to consider is any rain running through a vent and onto electrics
as while most auto electrics are splash proof they're not water tight

Are there flex points in that exhaust? Usually when it keeps cracking like that, it's because the engine is moving like normal during accel/decel, but there is not enough flexibility in the exhaust to accommodate that movement, and it end up cracking.

I think the coating flaking off is pretty normal for the really hot spots on the exhaust, and it's just a layer that flakes away. The rest should stay and function somewhat. This is why I prefer wraps though.

Considering it's supposed to have a total of 4 layers of coating, I think you'll be fine. Besides, it would flake anyway after a few thousand miles or plenty of hard driving.

Did they give any idea why that silencer weld failed twice? Is it in the same spot? Bad batch?
