Every car has its faults in the sub $30K range. The FT86 is an excellent platform, but it's not exactly news that the car is low on hp and torque compared to the competition. Almost every review points this out and the majority of owners (even those that love the car and are happy with it) will tell you the car could use more power.

So what? It is what it is. No need to get sensitive about it. I would still take low on power with all the other attributes of the twins (suspension, lightweight, handling, cockpit layout, low center of gravity, etc) over more power.

Trade offs.

No reason why you still linger on these forums after you got your glorious Genesis. Hmm... maybe not so glorious in retrospect?

One word.

Btw, this thread really should have ended here.

If we're taking immature cheap shots, this thread should have ended at the starting line.

People who say the twins need more power are the exact same people who are on this thread that traded in a twin for a GC.

This car does not need more power. It needs a good driver. The end.

This car driven like it was intended to, is on par with a 370z. Which a GC is not in any department.

Besides maybe getting groceries and being gentle on old, tired backs.

Not even. The twins could make use of more power, but it was not a deal-breaker for me when I owned it.

Oh, and on par with the Z? Hah, let's be realistic here.

Not even "what"?

Twins "could" make use of more power =/= need more power.
I could use a million dollars. I don't need a million dollars.

Ask anyone who is in C-street in AutoX and ask them how well the twins do in a class with the 370z having gobs more power and torque.

Go back and read what you posted. Not even, as to, the reason I got a Genesis Coupe was because the twins needs more power.

I know what I posted.

And I made SEVERAL (that means multiple) claims in that post.

You then replied "Not even." and didn't STIPULATE (that means specify) as to what you were referring to.

What do you have to gain on these forums? Obviously not much. You're just enjoying the fact you can incite anger on these forums with your trollbait.

What do you have to gain in this thread? Nothing. I'm enjoying the fact that I've owned both vehicles and can relate comparison information to others.

On the other hand, you're not doing much of anything.

That's great... You owned both cars but never really drove either.

The fact that you do not know what a twin is capable of is evident of this.
