To keep in the format.
Name: Lighting Red Trim: Limited/Manual (of course) Color: Lightning Red Option: Auto-dimming review mirror w/ e-compass Dealer: Don Beyer Subaru, Alexandria, VA Location: Woodbridge, VA Comments: On price; I am just as curious as anybody else. Though I did tell my dealer that if the price is knocking on $30,000, then there is a good chance I will pull my order. I mentioned that part of the allure of the car is that it will be fun to drive at a fair price. In my mind that is around $27,000-ish. |

I doubt that. No one can prevent me from pre-ordering and ultimately buying 2 different cars from 2 different dealers. These are my money and I can pre-order the entire allocation if I choose to by putting deposits down (not that I would).

Yes ... we have had some people have to go back to talk to their dealer about a double order. Please be careful.Best Wishes.

I hear you. I'm not looking at the same car. I have 2 different trims ordered. I trust both dealers enough to contact me at the actual order time and tell me about conflict. By that time I'm either putting my wife's name on one of the contracts or anyone else's who chooses to take my pick. Simple as that.
BTW contact info doesn't give you anything. Its your ability to pay that matters. That is determined by credit score check at the point of contract or 'show me the money' option with/when final prices are known. If that was the case - I could have given out bogus SSNs and potentially kick other people out of the line before the actual deal. Dealers are just protecting their pre-order statistics. SOA fulfills allocations - its a high demand car (or so we have been told). Pre-orders are vague enough for the car to be sold to anyone on the spot. What are you talking about not the same car? Isn't it two BRZ's? Sure they might be different trims but it is the same car. This is a SOA policy to limit people from putting multiple orders in at different locations. You can PM the dealer I quoted if you don't believe me. This isn't an issue about ability to pay. SOA doesn't want people putting multiple orders in to beat the system to get the car sooner. This isn't about SSN or credit scores. Did you put your wife on one of the orders that you got the VON for? If so no worries. However if your name is on both VON's at different dealerships I would be concerned and would contact SOA myself. |

Guys, dealers allocate entire lots under their and their sale reps contacts. SOA has no way (or intent) of investigating existing mess with dealers. Do you actually believe everything you've been told without solid proof? Again, these are my money and I choose to pre-order two cars, even if it from different dealers. BTW, to be honest, my second order puts me further in line, not before the original placement. So, what's the deal? |

I am done discussing this with you as you don't even seem appreciative that I am giving you a heads up about a potential problem you might face. Not sure why you need to get so defensive. I was trying to help.
Call SOA tomorrow AM and ask them of you can place two Pre-orders yourself at different dealerships for the BRZ. I am just stating some evidence states you might run into issues. The end. |
