Or just one of the know rattles, doesn't bother me that much for now.

The crickets is due to poor fuel, we got 95 and 98, the americans have 89/91/93 (and the lovely E85)
And you do notice a small difference between 95 and 98.
yeah the windows squeeking is common for me 2 when it has been wet or early in the day from moist.. only on the driver side though i ocasionaly hear a rattle on my right door 2 but 99% i dont hear anything it's way quiter than my MR2 Spyder americans say their 93/94 is the same as our 98 though isent it because we have no ethanol mixed in our fuel? you could say our fuel is more pure i guess.

Hello BRZmeMR2.

Actually our fuels over here also contain ethanol.
Standard belgian Euro95 has (up to) 5% in it. But there's some changes ongoing. On some stations (mainly in germany) you'll see that there's mentioned "Euro95E10" on the pump. That one contains 10% ethanol. EU union is pushing to have more bio fuel blended in our fuels (2020 targets on CO2 and such).

Think I read somewhere in the owners manual up to which % our GT's can run on mixed fuels, but it also says the preferred fuel is RON98 otherwise the engine's power output starts cutting down (anti-knock systems starting to play with ignition timings, so nothing to do with ethanol contents). Anyway, that Euro98 contains less ethanol than the euro95, but the GT works on both.
And I put 98 in it, no funny noises from the engine at all. On the other hand, when it was hot and the A/C on, in heavy traffic queing there's ugly noise coming from the engine bay. Switch off the A/C => problem gone. Strange, but I didn't spot anything that indicates an issue.

Never heard the cricket issue in Belgium before so i guessed we had better fuel it's rly strange though that we dont have any cricket's here, well as far as i know, hope it doesent start when they start increasing the ethanol here :p anyway the only thing that annoys me is the window squeek for the rest the quality so far is great for me.

Have you tried already something like rain-X on the outside of the window?
Me for example I also "wax" my windows (Most of the time I use (synthetic) ice-wax from turtle - but surely you already know you can't put just any wax on windows/plastics, for sure petroleum based ones can't be), and I never heard the windows squeaking (never paid special attention to it either honestly speaking).

Never tried anything on it so far.. and strangely it's only my driver side window for some reason the passenger side window never squeeks.

It's not that strange, unless you have more people as a passenger then you actually driving it.

I think that the tom's tails compliment the rear of the car a lot better then the stock lights, thats why they were on there the first day i got the car.
And it is probably the only mod i'm going to do. (i think)

Would also look nice with blacked rear windows ? :-)

(Never understood why it didn't come as stock with that)

Small mod which really benefits the car's look imho, and would match the darker taillights -which look good btw- !
