Well the next gen Levorg was just revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show (which is happening right now) and it is confirmed to have a 1.8L turbo motor.
power level is unknown right now however.

I think the starting price for the 350Z when it first arrived was a fair bit higher than that.
I think they have to figure out how to get it to that level. Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger all offer a lot for under $30K. The current 370z is overpriced against them, especially in Nismo form.

Obviously they could go the opposite route and put a different body and interior on the Q60 coupe, which could put it in the $40-50K range. Maybe just go after the Supra, GT, SS, Hemi, etc.

The 370Z starts at $30,090 according to their website configurator. Of course it goes up very quickly from there.

But so do the Mustang Camaro and Challenger. Comparing Z car to a base priced Pony car is a bit deceiving.

Fair enough, wasn't really thinking in terms of comparison just the base price.

IMHO, Nissan needs to reboot the Z and return it to it's roots, making it look like a modern version of the 240,260 or 280.

Or better yet, bring back and produce the MID4!!

How could you not trust an insider who is the brother of a brother's brother-in-law's' sister's dog sitter's owner's neighbor's half-cousin's grandpa's great grandson's barber's friend's co-worker's ex-fiancé's co-worker's acquaintance with inside knowledge of the car world? I mean HOW? its just so legit!

Yeah those 350z and 370z are looking really dated at this point-especially the interiors. I feel like interiors show their age very quickly relative to exteriors. A few days ago I saw a striking Hyundai gen-coupe out in the world. Came home and started looking at them online and the interiors look like they're strait out of 1999.

The 400Z will be a cross-over.

The confirmation of the new Z would’ve overshadowed an 86 announcement for me anyways. If they return to the classic styling and have a 6speed manual option for a starting price of about $35k-$39k, it could be a real winner.

The shape of the windows certainly is striking.

Agreed. I graduated high school in 2002 and it was right around that time I remember being at a car show and someone had a brand-new 350z there. I thought it was the coolest car I'd ever seen. THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS had just come out and there was a lot of excitement surrounding Japanes imports. I personally don't see a huge difference between the 350z and 370z. The platform just looks old to my eyes. I imagine Nissan are under a lot of self-imposed pressure to make the next-gen better than the Zupra, Twins, MX5 RF, etc.
