Again I'm late on posting these. Here is the final product of the Borla exhaust project with Local Motors. I am extremely pleased with how it turned out. It sounds AWESOME! and does not drone at city or highway speeds.

As soon as I got home, I took the muffler off and wire wheeled it and then clear coated it.

Everything came out great! A huge thanks to LM and @AlexFi! Christmas gifts will be coming your way!

I was at LM for autoX on saturday but had to leave early. I did 2 practice runs un timed, and felt pretty good. Then I did a timed lap of 33 seconds. I think I did better on my 2 practice runs because I wasnt pushing too hard. I encountered crazy understeer at the last turn because I came out of slolom way too fast! This was my first time on a track other than a straight 1/4 mile. Was fun and I can't wait to do some more.

Yeah I need more practice...and new tires. Tirerack has the star spec tires in 225 on closeout for 160ish. They had less than 10 left when I checked last. They are coming out with a new compound so there is a limited supply of this model. I have a friend that offered 50 bucks for anyone's stock tires so even a better deal.

Other good tires I like are the BFGoodrich g-force sport comp 2 and the Pirelli P Zero Nero they are cheaper and still have really good grip and will still hold up of you just wanted to leave them on and not buy a second set of rims. Just my opinion I have used these (in a different size) on the v6 mustang I had. I was on a budget and they held up well for all the abuse I put them threw.

I had Nitto Tripple 5's on my last vehicle. Awesome street tire, very sticky. I did about 10 passes at Firebirds "run what you brung" and put 20K miles of daily driving on them. Still had plenty of tred life when I sold the car. Not a great tire for the track. Will do the job if you don't want to buy a separate set of track wheels / tires, if you only go to track on occasion, or don't want to run race tires on the street.

For best grip, either Hancock R-3s (I thought the sidewall was too soft, therefore unresponsive) or Stars specs (they have better feedback).

Yeah I agree those two are the best Hancook from what I have read and heard are a little picky about heat I was throwing out some good cheap sticky tires for people who only want to spend in the $400 range and not get a second set of rims they are not going to be as good as start spec but they are better than stock

Glad you like the exhaust Christian! I thought it sounded pretty good too! Are you going to clear it with that brass-tint stuff? When you are interested, we can price out stainless for a new system, but I figure you can get some good mileage out of the mild in a place like Arizona anyway

On these cars it would be easy, not the welding up the old holes but positioning the mirrors on the fender. Since the mirrors are electric and move independent of the housing, they can be adjusted from this way.

The mirrors on my Z on the other hand are fixed. And to stay authentic to how they are mounted in Japan. I looked up the location of the mirrors on a JDM S30 and mounted my mirrors according. Of course I compensated for the LHD configuration over here. Do they work you ask? lol No. They are just for show and serve no purpose then to look pretty

Yeah I clear coated it lol I'll give you a heads up the SS upgrade. For now I'll be buying a few other things for the BRZ. But seriously thanks for the help!

The names in bold are people I have NOT heard from about their FRS/BRZ heel plates. If I don't hear anything by friday, I'm not going to make yours, you'll have to wait until I make another trip up to LM, which won't be til after the holidays, unless I get together another order to justify driving back up to Phoenix for.
