I really had no idea what to expect when I headed over there-- basically all I knew about Mann was that they are a US distributor for Milltek. After visiting, all I can say is, "go there." Everybody there is incredibly nice and helpful, the shop is immaculate and has a lot of cool toys, and Gary seems like a really serious driver who takes a refreshingly well-considered and nuanced approach to car setup. I went over there with my sister and her boyfriend-- both of whom are avid petrolheads as well-- and we all had a great time chatting with Gary and his mom, who showed us all around the shop and hung around with us talking about car setup for a solid hour after closing time. As a result of this, I'll be going back in a week or two to do some suspension work and put some proper wheels and tyres on the car. Cars are such a slippery slope :P

I'm really looking forward to seeing what Gary can do with the car. Hopefully we can dial out most of the factory understeer while retaining most of the suppleness of the stock suspension!

Oh, and Gary installed a set of clear sidemarkers. Holy crap, what a difference! I know this sounds stupid, but they look even cleaner on the car in person than they do in pictures-- you don't truly notice how bad the orange ones look on the car til they're gone!

Anyway, Milltek thoughts:

- looks fantastic
- it's lighter
- it's not terribly loud (I didn't want something incredibly loud, so this is a positive)
- in-cabin sound is much more classic Subaru-- much more bass / rumble than the stock system
- Overall, the system sounds much less high-pitched / whiny / vacuum cleaner-y: me likey

Exciting times ahead! Pictures to follow. I just hope I'll still be able to afford to eat when I'm done :P This car is gonna be fucking silly
vids please! i know theres some out there but more is better, i plan on getting the same milltek resonated soon

I will try and make some good videos-- the only problem is that I don't have a good mic setup, so I don't know how I'd get good sound.

Installed the Invidia Q300 catback today. Sounds incredible -- volume levels very close to stock but much deeper and a little more growl.

Went with the Q300 so I could get headers that are a little more aggressive without blowing out eardrums, and I'm very happy with the purchase. Especially for the price. Now I just gotta burn off all the factory oil off the catback so I don't have little tiny wisps of white smoke

The tips look about 2mm off though. Any tips on straightening them? It's hardly noticeable even when you're standing directly behind the car, but I can be OCD sometimes...

Installed my new Invidia N1 exhaust. Pretty impressed with the sound. For the longest time I was indecisive about the N1 and the Q300. I can say that I'm happy with my decision. You can really hear the boxer growl with this exhaust. I'm pretty sure the Q300 does the same thing. But all in all, both systems are good. One thing that's really bothering me though, I've got some leaking were the down pipe meets the Y Pipe.
