I think they just hear the exhaust and figure I must be ripping it up through there.

Today a vendor offered to take my boss and a few of us workers out to lunch. Went to a steak house. My boss and I were so embarassed when one of the 'lower' part-time workers litterally took advantage of the vendor's kindness and ordered enough food for 5-6 people for himself plus drinks. He ordered a filet mignon, 2 lobster tail, a full size shrimp scampi, a pasta dish plus sides, sampler pack appetizers and drinks.

The vendor was chatting bs with my boss while this ass placed his order. His jaw was on the table when the food came out. Everyone else had a small $15 lunch combo and this guy orders $300 worth of food. Found out the only reason my boss invited him on the lunch was because he was standing there when the vendor made the offer. That was a very akward car ride back to the shop.

All I could say was "ya I guess I did" 'cuz, well, I did. The limit on it was 40KPH and I was doing over 90KPH so he could have nailed me for "Stunt Driving" under Ontario law.
Got off with a warning but that was one cop that had no interest in chatting about the car.
Meanwhile, I would've been nailed in the butt for getting caught doing that.

See, I'm as cheap as they come. But even I know there's a time and place when free stuff is offered...

Did the person get chewed out or anything?

Is that really what you got out of all this, or are you just yanking my chain?

Didn't you hear? Riding .5 inch off the ground on stock struts and bump stops everywhere will give you race car status.
