That's a bit rich for my blood. Go between a 6600k set up and a Ryzen set up. Realistically, my FX6300 is the CPU that could, so I'm in no rush to replace it.

Wait for the 6 core Ryzen. Also, memory selection seems... Picky if you're going to be clocking it up. And I've not been doing any research, oh no. Current computer since 2010... Who needs a replacement...

That was the plan, only... 5 days now? I can't get over how much RAM costs. I got super lucky with my current stuff (Ballistix 2x8gb) and I'm fairly certain amazon cocked up the price since I got it for 65 bucks.

At the same time, considering throwing the money onto my car loan. Or keeping it in my account until I find out how much I owe/am getting back for my taxes. Hoping it's less than the 1600 I owed last year.

Meh. I paid $850 for 16Mb... Prices don't bother me much after that. The difficulties with Ryzen do seem to have messed up prices though.

Loan or savings both make more sense of course. I think I really need to refi the house, but want to ride out 2.25% as long as I can, it'll nearly double in Sept emner no matter what I do, but getting out from the ARM seems smart. Still owe more than 2x what our first house sold for, it didn't sell before buying so did the ARM to manage costs.... That's no fun though, buying toys is more fun.
