I've dealt with North Park Subaru when I was looking at a WRX last year. Long story short...dealership is small, dumpy and staffed with your typical sales staff that doesn't have any clue about the details on the cars they sell.

Wound up buying my BRZ from Gillman. I liked my sales guy, the finance guy was super cool and made the experience calm and pleasant. I liked the buying process. No pressure and every question answered the way I wanted.

Never dealt with Georgetown.

I got mine from Subaru of George Town. Their service is excellent and their staff pleasant. They have several certified BRZ techs there, I have met them and let me say they are very enthusiastic. Several of the employees own BRZ's and regularly come to COBB 1st Thursday events. They are mod friendly, I have had no issues and have done a few things. I personally wouldn't take my car anywhere else for any service. Ironically enough, one of the sales men used to race in NASA back in Ohio. If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me.

Service is good @ Gillman Subaru. Sales I am not sure. I bought my BRZ from Shortline Subaru in Denver, Colorado. Got it below invoice fresh off the boat.

Glad to hear someone vouch for their service section. I just completed my break in and need to head in for an oil change and to have them register the "chirping" TSB that hit me right around 850 miles.

Dont there is no real fix for this and even if they do swap out your high flow pump it will most likely come back in 1000miles. You get used to it fast and then u will not hear it or let it bother u. I have had the chirp since 600 miles and im at almost 23000 and have had zero issues. On the forums people tired using various gas stations and think it has to do with the ethanol in fuel.

This^ I had mine changed and within 1,000 miles had the chirp comeback. Not a big deal just wanted to see if it worked. It is the ethanol in the fuel.

How many miles you got? I am at about 5400 miles...going to get close to 7000 and get my first oil change at Gillman Subaru. I went in there to get my state inspection since I bought my car out of state. They were good people. Plus it was not a busy place.

I remember going into North Park Subaru and trying to order up a BRZ or get one of their 10 incoming ones back in January, and they wanted to charge me $2000 over sticker even for a ordered one. So I found a brand new one at Shortline Subaru in Denver, and got it less than invoice. If anybody is looking to buy these cars, look far out of state to the north. Shipping was only $500. Oh and go to Jaysdetail to get it all looking pretty.

U havent had a oil change???? Should change oil after first 1000 on trans and diff. want to remove all that metal material. Also recommend magnet plugs to keep all metal out of engine, trans and diff.

Concur. Have them make a note of it but, @EL7 suggest you don't replace parts if you are not having any driveability probs.

This is true. I've read where folks are aware of the TSB but lack the confidence that swapping the pump has yielded results for others so far. I think I'll fall into the camp that is waiting to see if the fix actions in the TSB prove to be permanent for others before I brother with letting them swap stuff out.

I'm with tripjammer on this one. Did a lot of research and I am also waiting til 7500 miles for my first oil change. The filter should catch all the metal. I trust Subaru engineers recommending when I should change the oil And tranny fluid change after 1000 miles?? That's a new one for me!

Still trying to decide if I should take advantage of the free oil changes or do it myself. Just sounds like a waste of money to say no to free oil, but I've never let anyone else do my oil before and I don't trust strangers with my car!! Decisions decisions...

It all depends on the service dept. If the place has good reviews I am willing to.trust them.

Any meets this weekend?
