That's terrible vision.
It means that you see the same image from 20' as a normal eye can see at 200' Might want to rethink that!

So he got the joke because he's spent a lot of time with optometrists. Makes sense to me.

My girlfriend in college had to hold an alarm clock about a foot from her eyes to be able to read it in the morning. Her vision was better than normal with contacts.

I honestly thought this forum was an exception, populated by people who have spent money buying a highly impractical but perky little sports car. I'm not surprised by MT being held in favour in here. I'd have one myself if it wasn't for the ever lasting stop-and-go congested traffic in Oslo. (I do love this automatic gearbox, though. In "sport" it shifts more aggressively than I would do with a manual.) But I did believe that the US population generally preferred AT over MT and that "driving stick" was regarded as antiquated and very tedious to learn. And is it possible to have huge penis syndrome? |

My father enjoyed riding in my GT86. He drove a lot of different vehicles in his life. He was an army officer in a transport division and later spent many years surveying. Anyway, I asked him once if he'd like to drive my car. He said "I've never driven an automatic and I don't feel like learning it now". These days however, there are popular models such as Toyota Auris Hybrid with "automatic continuously variable transmission" as the only option available. A contraption so boring to drive that you can feel your soul wither and crumble as you sit and wait for arrival at the destination. And I know these people who actually buy and like those cars. They are good people. A little on the dull side, some of them. |
