I read these are a pain to install but I'll get them in. I think I will do the service manual method.

Another one down... two to go...
this one was a pain because of the bends and bungs...took me longer than expected. Hard to see in the pics but this one had what appeared to be stains/blemishes in the finish... I could not get them completely out. ![]() ![]() ![]() __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram | zeal.eightsix |

I ended up sanding down and out the raised HKS logos on the throttle body to intercooler outlet pipe. It is not complete but it is turning out well.
I am not satisfied with how the HKS logos looked compared to the polished areas. I could not get between the letters to my satisfaction and it bothered me. I will more than likely go back on my finished parts and remove the HKS logos. So much easier to work the aluminum down and polish without the raised logos in the way. Sanded down ![]() No after pic but trust me, it looks like nothing was ever there. __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram | zeal.eightsix |

I kinda like the unpolished areas within the HKS font. Much like a stamp?

You've blown my mind! I never even considering polishing my aluminum parts. Great way to bring some bling into the engine bay and take it to the next level.

I went back and removed the HKS logos from my supercharger components. Almost done removing logo/part number off the intercooler too.
Btw, I still have to wet sand these again. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() the rest for now... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram | zeal.eightsix Last edited by zeal86; 03-17-2016 at 06:13 PM. |

I have to hit these up with Blue Magic one more time but they are pretty much finished. I have removed all the HKS logos. Originally I tried to use a Dremel between the logo letters but didn't like the end results. Blower is all that is left.
I will be painting the HKS logo on the intercooler in black. The bypass valve top will be painted anodized red as well as the bracket for the blower. I will try to have them clear coated professionally. I don't even know what the HKS kit looks like until I visit your build thread.
