Whiteline makes great stuff when they are on, but when they are off, bad things happen.

I remember with the wrx they made good endlinks and then changed manufacturers or plants or something and they instantly became crap.

Update from Jan.

The Com-Cs in their current form are still being tested.

We will most likely be redesigning the part for the ZN6 chassis.

Guys, they fucked up. They assumed that a design that has worked in the past, on a similar car that's actually heavier, would work here. Personally, I think that was a reasonable assumption. Unfortunately it didn't work out. They tried upgrading the bearing to the same bearing that's used in the OEM mounts, but with a better seal, that didn't work out either. Again, that seemed like a reasonable assumption. Now they're taking their time to make sure they cover their asses by getting it right. I'm very certain that this embarrassment is not something they've taken lightly.

At no point have they asked anyone to pay for shipping or tried to say this wasn't their fault. They did ask that people investigate the cause before they realized how prevalent the issue was. Again I can't blame them for that. But as soon as the issues became known to not be limited to isolated incidences, they readily did everything they could to help their customers.

As customers we bought and installed a product. As soon as we installed the product we lost the chance at a refund. At this point though, I think it would be cheaper for Whiteline to refund the money. Instead they are doing their best to honor the warranty. While I'm disappointed that they sold me a defective product, I can understand their reasoning for believing it would work. As early adopters, we all should be aware that things like this are a possibility. You can do all the FEA in the world and still have failures. There is a difference between a computer model and real life.

One thing that I haven't heard from Whiteline, but from their actions I don't feel I need to inquire about, is if they will restart our warranty period when we do receive the finished product.

If you check their website they've also pulled the FRS/BRZ/GT86 from the vehicle list the original mounts work with, they're definitely trying to make it right on some level.

Any updates from anyone on these? I would have to disagree with you on the refunds. I went through 4 of these in 4 months. the last set lasted 24 hours before going to shit. They just keep fucking dodging the questions. at this point I chalked the 200 dollars as a learning experience that whiteline will never see another dime from me.

I got a response:

Thank you for your patience. Last word I got from engineering was that the parts are still under development.

We have since pulled the listing for the KA335 from the BRZ/FRS line up until the problem can be rectified.

I’ll let you know once I hear anything else.

Hey guys I have the com-c top mounts and kw v3's not yet installed on my car and am worried. Should I even bother to install them or should I just try to go with another top hat? Don't want to go through the trouble of installing and getting an alignment if they're just going to need to be returned
