you ca drop an STI engine in there like freaking legos!

I wish they sold as just a rolling shell then lol. They can keep the motor and tranny, I'll go buy an sti motor and 6spd and then I'm happy

It would be utterly amazing if it didn't.

You can buy a crate motor straight from Subaru for about $6k.

I will be developing a full conversion with a range of specs and have a guy in Sydney who can do the installation.

Ricers, there are far too many in this thread.

I love all the leaked (released) info though.

Every Subaru motor for lthe last 20+ years (excluding the last of the Leones/GL's with the EA drivetrains) has the same bellhousing bolt pattern. All the transmissions and motors are interchangeable.

This won't be different.

Limiting anyone under 21 years of age to a 1 post per day maximum would fix that.

Couldn't agree more...but my concern is that "electronic steering" cited in the brochure - such setups have a nasty habit of anesthetizing that direct connection to the road - witness my dad's current Corolla XR-S, with electronic steering that is completely DOA, what an abomination that car is. My 1st gen Tib has 100X the road feel. (To think he once had a 911!)

Well that's the problem right there The Corolla isn't marketed as a sports car, no matter what version you get.

Toyota and Subaru know what they're doing - they wouldn't have become multi-million/multi-billion dollar companies if they didn't!

The rear seats seem like they'll be crammed, just like the 240.
Who needs rear seats anyways?
