My car had over 13,000 when it started chirping just 3 or 4 days ago. Some one else in this thread said that ethanol free gas would stop the problem. This morning with around a 1/4 tank of gas I went to an ethanol free Shell station and filled up. I followed that up with around a 20 mile, stop and go drive. The chirping was gone.

the problem for people in CA is that it's hard to find a gas station with no ethonal.

For the 2 stroke oil, can someone recommend a good brand with zero ash?
There are a bit too many choices, and I dont' know which one to use.

the "star tron" product I mentioned before doesn't appear to have done anything... Crickets are still there.
I believe these crickets are aware of my attempts and are simply playing with my emotions.

My search for e0 fuel in Jersey continues.

Not surprising when you read their adverts where they claim it does everything 'except' to provide lubrication which is what is needed.

High quality zero ash 2T's sole purpose is to provide lubrication via fuel and then to burn cleanly.

Random call. I've had my pump replaced twice already. The last time was with the "green dot" pump. I spoke with SOA and they said they would have someone call me when a new revision to the pump came out.

I'm hoping it's a new design. He only said "we have a new pump here for you that we want you to try out."

To be frank, I'm not expecting much. Subaru hasn't had much luck sorting out the ECU issues with the 07 STI that still plagues the newest batch of STIs out today. To think they have churned out a fixed pump in such a short amount of time is hardly believable, but I'm not going to say no to trying out a new revision.

I don't know anything about Subaru, so this STI comment helps. Thanks.

I was thinking that the PI/DI head is a Toyota item, not a Subaru item. Care to comment?

No. I don't know who makes what on this car, but I'm fairly certain the HPFP isn't made by either company in-house.
