Hello everyone, I finished installing my supercharger and thought I would share some feedback here:
The Install: Overall a very smooth install. It took me about 10 hrs total working by myself (minus a buddy helping set the blower on the manifold) over the course of a few days. I also installed the radium dual catch can kit during this time. No major hang ups or challenges, instructions are very clear and concise. I purchased the kit used and had to buy some new consumables (gaskets, crush washers, and a few missing hoses). Support from superchargers online was very good and was able to get everything in ~ 2 weeks time. I would highly recommend quality hose clamp pliers. I bought them specifically for this project and used them a lot. I too, like others suggested connected the coolant hoses to the back of the heat exchanger before placing on the manifold, this was a big help. Driving Impressions: I went from OFT stage 2 with EL headers and 3" cat back so the change was not as drastic as going from stock. I also am currently only using the Edelbrock CARB tune because winter is here in NY and only had a few days to drive before putting away for the winter. I plan to get the Delicious tune in the spring (I feel there is a lot more to be had with a better tune). Overall very happy with the new power band, when it cracks 4k RMPs it really goes. The best I can liken it to from past driving experiences is my stage 1+ Audi TT 1.8T. Highway on ramps are much more enjoyable now! Gas mileage hit was pretty big, I could consistently get 34 - 36 MPG highway, and now I'm averaging ~24 MPG. Also, I may be crazy but it seems the exhaust note is now a bit louder (and was already loud to begin with). Only other negative is the Edelbrock tune; it idles a little choppy and throttle response is mediocre, although I likely attribute this to my other exhaust mods. Overall very happy with the kit. It was a fun project and I picked it up for a great deal. Looking forward to the better tune in the spring! |

@Chris3007
Your car will drive FAR better when you get a proper tune dialed in to your mods. The CARB tune is literally only meant for otherwise stock powertrains, and won't run/feel right with other power mods! |

If conditions are right on the street I've rolled into first and maintained a decent amount of traction, although there's almost always a little slip. If conditions aren't right first gear will completely break away. Second can be rowdy, but it's uncommon to completely light the tires up the way first occasionally does. Things are drama free in third gear and above, but the car continues to pull hard. Car still had healthy acceleration in 5th at 128mph on the road course. You're in for a good time. |

Has anyone here done a complete tear down of the supercharger plenum? Anyone want pictures when I do mine? I think the butterfly valve surround on the anti surge return was manufactured incorrectly (confirmed for initial models by edelbrock but not mine) so I'm going to tear down and find out.

Ewww, that doesn't sound good. I no longer have mine, but I've always been curious about it, so some pics would much appreciated! |

I actually checked for that. The belt was where it was supposed to be on all the pulleys so I'm not sure what may have caused it to come apart like that. I can't imagine that it's just "normal" wear and tear though.

I know someone on here must know somebody who wants a barely used Edelbrock kit for Christmas (less than 1000 miles on the kit). If so please send me a PM.

FWIW, the Cosworth kit instructions recommend replacing the belt every 10k miles.

This might be the only way to get one before Xmas, I've been waiting for mine for more than 2 months and am told there is a line behind me...

Has anyone installed the OEM oil cooler using the alternative throttle body option. I am guessing this would be a no go due to the supercharger?
