My gracious neighbor gave me the privilege of the experience. It's complex, but he's considered a celebrity in Japan tho conducts most of his business here. It pains me that he isn't what any of us here would call a car person as evidence by how he parks his LFA against curbs. Makes me glad our bumper covers can be easily replaced for $200 vs. the LFA carbon fiber $5,000 lip.

I don't mean to sound trite, but after we switched cars for a "spirited" drive up Larch Mtn. this morning, we both agreed that there's more than a passing resemblance between the two marques. IMO the FR-S being so much smaller andl lighter is ultimately the livelier car. I didn't tell him, but believe the difference between the FR-S M/T and his LFA prolly isn't worth $425,000. In fact, it made me appreciate our FR-S more than ever, disregarding the music of a V-10 accelerating to redline that I only sampled once but will remember forever.

You got to drive an LFA?

NEED MORE PICS!

Hmm, I was originally at 2.3% with Toyota Financial when I bought my Fr-s in November. When I came back to trade for the 10 series, I got a PenFed loan for 1.74% and the dealership matched it, but it wasn't through TFS anymore. It's now Capital One. Not sure why, but it's cool because that's my bank anyway. Not sure if that answered your question or not.

Can always purchase the BRZ autodim + homelink mirror if would make you that tiny bit happier Just need the adapter as well.

Oh, I know, it was going to be my first mod... but I just love the look of the frameless rearview mirror, hence why they're minor things :happy0180:

I need to find some friends like that. I mean his car is worth more than most of my friend's houses!

I agree. I have homelink in my Prius and thought I was going to miss it, but that frameless mirror is quite sweet.

Still, he's a charitable bloke and just held a fund raiser benefiting a local children's cancer treatment center last Saturday. The Governor and both Senators were there along with live music groups and good eats.

One of his businesses is making teriyaki-style cooking sauces. He's given me enough of his different sauces to stock a restaurant.

I just know of him and his businesses. I also know he has (probably) the only LFA in portland. It would be awesome to meet him!
