The motor is all new, got a bare block and heads from GM. Rotating assembly is getting balanced and put in at a shop in Baltimore, but assembly and install are in my garage :P
Did you find it cheaper to get a bare block and heads and build it rather than get a used long block?

Yes and no. I wasn't going with stock internals anyway, and LS3's still pull quite the premium. I don't like used motors, lol. I never once had major problems with my SR after 2 years, because it was completely redone. I beat em up, but only because I built them to take it lol. Reliability ftw.

It's not terribly expensive to go new. Should still be cheaper than going with a stock crate LS3. I spent more than a basic LS1 swap, but got a lot more for it too

You looking at doing one?

Hey guys. This was a terrible night to say the least. Everyone walked out fine, and the cars are already towed. I was driving on 198 and I was near the intersection of 198 and old gunpowder. I was driving straight when the light turned yellow and the guy wanted to make a quick left. He did so and we crashed. The accident literally took 2 minutes from my house. There were 2 children in the other car and I'm insanely relieved that they're okay. My dad wanted me to go to the hospital to get checked up and I did so with ambulance. When my dad came back he told me that the other person accepted fault. All in all, even though it was a terrible night, everything was okay.

Here's a picture for you guys.

Jebus...

Now that I know you're OK, hit me up when insurance comes back on the buyback Might be in need of a chassis

That sucks. And for anyone else reading this:

As someone that's flipped a car, always always take the ride to the hospital.
